The Impact Of The Covid-19 Pandemic On Interest In Entrepreneurs Based On Digital Business In MSME

At the beginning of 2020, there was a global attack that caused almost the whole world including Indonesia to be shocked by the virus, namely Covid-19. Social Media Usage as an Effective Entrepreneurial Tool Among Business Owners Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

The impact of social media in marketing and entrepreneurship structure today cannot be over-emphasis and one of the main reasons why some entrepreneur visits the emergency room most times result in the stress and grief they pass through looking for who to patronize or how people get to know the kind of business they owned. The study now examines social medial usage as an effective entrepreneurial tool among business owners amidst COVID-19 pandemic. Social media have dominated everywhere, then most entrepreneur has to use different social media web sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp to advertise and publicize their goods and services during the Covid-19 Pandemic period. The study adopts a survey research design and simple random sampling techniques to select 200 respondents among successful business owner who has successfully use social media as the best way to advertise their market during the COVID-19 pandemic period and which has tended to impact and increase the mode of marketing. The study therefore concludes after considering the usage of social media as an effective entrepreneurial tool among business owners amidst COVID-19 pandemic that YouTube does not majorly contribute to entrepreneurship development in terms of creativity and innovation among business owners. The designed model is suitable for assessing the benefits of investments in the use of social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp should be encouraged among users as it aids entrepreneurship development but should be discouraged when it is being used for fraudulent acts. The study also suggested that YouTube shouldn’t be encouraged as many users of social media focus and use YouTube mostly for film streaming and not for the use of entrepreneurship development in term of developing products

This research aims to reveal the digitization of SMEs how they can continue to survive in the pandemic era and be sustainable. The analysis uses a qualitative case study approach based on semi-structured interviews that allow for personal, actual interpretation and a reduction in general explanations. Cases are selected based on established criteria for SMEs in Malang City. Data collection was carried out by exploring related SMEs social media sites, direct observation of offline stores and candid interviews with business owners. This paper aims to investigate the opening of new businesses during this COVID-19 pandemic period in Brazil. A qualitative study, of a descriptive nature, with an investigative method based on basic qualitative research. The data collection was done through a focus group, applying a semi-structured interview to a group of nine participants, and the data were submitted to the Analysis of Nucleus of Sense, with the aid of the software IRAMUTEQ. The results showed that entrepreneurs saw new opportunities through digital social networks (Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp), motivated by curiosity and the opportunity provided by the COVID-19 pandemic.
