Abstract
Public administration education in Turkey is the subject of academic study for a long time. However, it has been observed that public administration education has been examined and discussed more intensively in the last period. As symposium, scientific works (books, articles, etc.) and workshops on various aspects of platforms has been examined and discussed public administration education in Turkey; in this study, it is handled from a demand-oriented perspective. In this sense, the study focuses on what the people who aspire to receive public administration education prefer for public administration education or what they expect from public administration education. From this point of view, the aim of the study can be defined as the determination of the motivating elements of public administration students and graduates in the choice of public administration education. In this study, 146 public administration students and graduates from 26 different universities were interviewed. The findings show that; the majority of those who have studied public administration have made a conscious and willing choice to receive public administration education. Again, the most important determinant of the participants' choice of public administration education is their own. On the other hand, the most important factor that encourages participants to take public administration education is that public administration education allows participants to develop themselves.
