Abstract
One of the most pressing applications for LIBS is the detection of toxic metals in various matrices. For example, sensitive and rapid determination of lead remains a substantial challenge for other techniques. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) has often been the method of choice because this technique requires no lengthy sample preparation.
