The solar energy has a wide scope in the future. Solar power plants must need to be monitored for best possible power output. This helps retrieve efficient power output from power plants while monitoring for faulty solar panels, connections, and dust accumulated on panels lowering output and other such issues affecting solar performance. Therefore here we propose an IOT based solar power monitoring system that allows solar power monitoring automatically from anywhere over the internet. We use Arduino based intelligent system to monitor a 10Watt solar panel parameters. In this system frequently monitors the solar panel parameters and transmits the power output to IOT system over the internet automatically. In this project few solar energy parameters are calculated with help of various sensors. This project includes controller Arduino Uno; the software used will be Arduino IDE. We will calculate various parameters like Current, Voltage. For calculation of intensity we will see LDR sensor for current measurement the current sensor, for voltage we will use voltage divider representing the whole result of the calculated parameters the whole result of the calculated parameters will be displayed on 16×2 LCD. Which is interfaced with Arduino Uno for running the whole circuit we will use a 230/12 V step down transformer which reduce the A.C voltage to 12 volt. After that bridge rectifier is used to convert 12 V A.C. to12V D.C. The D.C voltage have some ripple contents which will be filtered through the filter circuit which is capacitive filter and for the microcontroller operation the whole 12V D.C supply will be reduce to +5V. The solar energy is huge source of energy in the globe. It is renewable energy resources thus there is no matter about its consumption This makes remotely monitoring of solar plants very easy and ensure best power output.

The invention of smart grid has already outdated the conventional method of one way power production- supply concept. While developed countries have already started to adopt smart meters, appliances and renewable energy sources; underdeveloped and developing countries are still facing power shortages every day. In the second Industrial Revolution, electricity was the main advancement and the recent Industrial Revolution 4.0 has pushed giant Production companies into the adoption and promotion of Renewable Energy sources. The integration of IoT and power systems has revolutionized the world in terms of power efficiency and real time monitoring. This paper discusses an experimental work done on how IoT can monitor the power/voltage and current production of a standalone renewable energy source i.e. a solar panel. This paper also discusses how to improve the solar panel efficiency by correcting the tilt angle of the solar panel. The monitoring of the solar panel is done via an inter-connected system using NodeMCU, Node-RED, Arduino and an MQTT channel. The monitoring of solar panels can be made easier by implementing the proposed work in a photovoltaic (PV) power plant. The internet of things (IoT) defines everyday physical objects being able to communicate data with other internet-connected gadgets by identifying themselves to them. This technology helps with system monitoring, upkeep, and performance improvement. Energy conservation is the main issue facing society. Even though there is a lot of research being done in solar energy, consumers still do not readily accept sun-based applications. This may be due to minimum knowledge of such applications. The proposed system aims to continuously supervise the monitoring and maintenance of the solar panels using IoT. The system should maximize its production and for that it being rotated as per sun's direction. The rotation of the panel will be in accordance with the real time position, intensity of the sun's radiation and climatic condition. In case the system is ineffectual to harness the required amount of energy for all when using home appliances at a set time, additional energy will be obtained from other sources. electricity. The project highlights in providing analysis of the system data along with user friendly interface to the people. Timely notifications will be provided to the user regarding dust accumulation to restore the efficiency of the system and minimizing its effects in energy production.

International Journal for Research in Applied Science & Engineering Technology (IJRASET), 2022
This project aims to develop a measurement of solar energy using Arduino Board technology. In this research, four parameters that been measured are temperature, voltage and current. The temperature was measured using temperature sensor. The voltage was measured using the voltage divider because the voltage generated by the solar panel is large for the Arduino as receiver. Lastly for the current was measured using the current sensor module that can sense the current generated by the solar panel. These parameters as the input value for the Arduino and the output was display at the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen. The LCD screen display output of the temperature, the light intensity, the voltage and the current value. The purpose of Arduino to convert the analog input of parameter to the digital output and display via LCD screen.
