Multiple Regression Analysis of Job Satisfaction among Employees at ABC Factory

Job satisfaction is a crucial issue for the company to achieve high productivity and reduce employee turnover. If organization can give the workers satisfaction, it is not only increasing image of an organization, but it also increases motivation and productivity of all workers. Employee who satisfied with their job intention to give the best effort to the company and tend to stay long in the factory. Hence, the purpose of this research is to find out the factor that influence job satisfaction among workers at ABC factory. 80 employees at the ABC Factory completed a set of questionnaire consists of two parts, which are background of respondent and job satisfaction components. Multiple Linear Regression is used to analyze the result to achieve the objective stated. The findings revealed that among four independent variables, Work Environment and Organization have significantly effect Job Satisfaction at ABC Factory.

Factors Influence on Job Satisfaction of Graduate Employees in Sri Lanka's Manufacturing Industry

It is important to have a satisfied workforce in an organization to build up a successful organization. Hence, the study aims to identify the factors that affect job satisfaction among graduate employees in Sri Lanka's manufacturing industry. The sample population of the study was all the graduate employees of the main five sub-sectors in Sri Lanka's manufacturing Industry. The sample (n=156) was selected from the sample population by using the stratified sampling method. Primary data was collected through a questionnaire. Initially, the study applied factor analysis and chi-squared test to derive the objective of the study. The factor analysis revealed five factors that influence job satisfaction among graduate employees. They are1-Company Policies and Supervision, 2-Working Conditions, 3-Work Itself, 4-Recognition and Advancement, 5-Job Security, and Human Relationships. Additionally, the chi-square test is used to identify the demographic factors that affect the employees' job satisfaction. The results showed that the degree obtained by the employees had a significant impact on their job satisfaction.

Job satisfaction refers to one's feelings towards one's job. If the employees expectations are fulfilled (or) the employees get higher than what he / she feels satisfied. If the job satisfaction increases organization commitment will increased. This results in the higher productivity. The main objectives of this paper are to assess the job satisfaction: to identify the effectiveness of job satisfaction and to find out the several factors like personal and organizational factors influencing job satisfaction: to identify the effectiveness of job satisfaction and to find out the several factors like personal and organizational factors influencing job satisfaction of employees. In this study, 125 no's of respondents have been taken as sample. Percentage analysis, weighted average, chi-square have been incorporated for research analysis. The study helped in revealing the level of satisfaction of employees with reference to the various factors provided in the organization. This study clearly shows that employees under organization are more or less satisfied with the job. The organization should consider on the salary, relationship of employees and supervisors, grievance handling and give more opportunity for the new employees.

The data used in this research is the primary data obtained directly from the results of a questionnaire distribution by the respondent. The population of this research is the employees of the PDAM Tirtanadi of North Sumatera province Berastagi branch. The sampling technique used is a saturated sampling technique, which is to take the whole of the total population of 38 people. The data analysis used is double linear regression analysis. The results showed that partially the work itself, the supervisor, the co-workers and the promotion as free variables had no significant effect on job satisfaction, while the salary/wage was partially influential positively and significantly towards job satisfaction. Many organizations today are placing greater emphasis on talent retention to sustain their competitive advantage and keeping their employees highly satisfied and motivated. The purpose of this observational and interview based study is to understand the level of job satisfaction the employees working in Jeyamalli Industries, SIPCOT, Ranipet had and the parameters that influenced it. Long-term career progression, engagement activities, welfare activities and motivation has had a positive influence on the employees. However there is room for much improvement on areas such as technical and management related training, employee skill development, work safety measures and work environment.

The study examines different aspects of job satisfaction like culture, leadership communication, commitment, job content, training, rewards and recognition opportunities, teamwork, superior subordinate relationship and delegation, at Badarpur thermal power station, NTPC ltd. The research done is descriptive study involving survey and enquiry. The tools used for the data collection are questionnaires interviews and observations. The sampling design used is random sampling Sample of 125 employees from study population of 248 was taken. The secondary was collected from the company's manuals, employee handbook, BTPS intranet and website. The research was carried out for a period of 2 months. The analysis was carried on a software SPSS and stated satisfaction level of different parameters. The overall job satisfaction showed people were satisfied with there current job but still measures should to be taken to improve the satisfaction level.

Factors affecting employee job satisfaction is of worth importance in order to manifest the reasons which are responsible to create satisfaction among the employees, which ultimately has substantial impact on overall performance of the organization. This paper aims to measure the satisfaction level among the employee of a steam rice manufacturing enterprise in NawalParasi, Nepal, based on three factors namely working conditions, wages and promotion, and safety measures by using 5 point Likert Scale. A sample of 105 workers were selected using simple random sampling and were distributed a structured questionnaire consisting 15 modules. The internal consistency of the responses has been measured by using Cronbach's alpha, which was found to be >0.8. The ordinal data have been transferred into summated rating scale and then put them into Shapiro Wilk test for normality. The test established absence of normality of scale which directed to use Non-Parametric statistics. For descriptive analysis median and quartile deviation and Spearman' rank correlation we used while Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis H tests were used for inferential analysis. The story revealed that majority of the respondents has high degree of agreement towards satisfaction and significant differences in level of satisfaction existed between responses based on age, gender, religion of employee.

Investigating different factors influencing job satisfaction: A case study of cement industry

Job satisfaction plays an important role on increasing business productivity and efficiency. This paper presents an empirical investigation to study the relationship between job satisfaction and employees' personal characteristics including gender, marital status, etc. The proposed study designs a questionnaire and distributes it among 244 out of 800 employees who worked for cement industry in Iran. The data are analyzed using different statistical tests such as t-student and analysis of variance. The results indicate that while there was not any meaningful relationship between gender and job satisfaction there was some meaningful relationship between marital status and job satisfaction.

"The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited is one of the major industries for country's economic development. The main aim of this study is to assess the factors which are responsible for employee's job satisfaction. This paper aims to study relationships in among reasonable compensation and job satisfaction, working environment and job satisfaction, Job Security and job satisfaction. The result exposed that salary is the mainly important factor for influence job satisfaction of employees. Apart from salary, it has been found that the influence of supervisor support, healthy working environment, proper work-life balance, career opportunities and promotion, proper training and development opportunities are furthermore very important factors for determining employee's job satisfaction. Data is collected using questionnaires from 50 Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited employees who are randomly selected from the BHEL, Tiruchirappalli. Simple random sampling method was used in the study to select the sample. Reliability test, Principal Component Analysis, Independent Samples t-test, ANOVA and Mean Comparison test were used for analyzing the data.
