Healthcare Chatbot using Artificial Intelligence

Healthcare as one of the vital spheres of human life is badly falling behind technological progress. While e-commerce, hospitality, and the food industry are advanced and augmented with various technological solutions, healthcare still sticks to the traditional way of doing things. Why can you order a pizza in ten seconds but must wait for an appointment with a doctor for days and weeks? How can you make sure that urgent medical help is indeed urgent? Why finding a credible answer to an important question about your health is so annoyingly difficult? I am also deeply concerned about the lack of attention that the healthcare industry receives. And the first and easiest solution I can offer to change it is to implement chatbot technology in healthcare. Healthcare chatbots will never substitute doctors. But they provide plenty of opportunities to facilitate their job or to improve their performance. The medical chat-bots functioning depends on Natural Language Processing which helps users to submit their problems about their health. The user can ask any personal query related to health care through the chatbot without being out physically available to the hospital. By using Google API for voice-text and text-voice conversion query is sent to the chatbot and gets a related answer and displays the answer on the android app. The system's major concern behind developing this web-based platform is analyzing customers' sentiments.

IRJET- HUMICARE-A CHATBOT FOR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM

Chatbots are conversational software's which are available for the users either as standalone apps or web applications. These conversational agents imitate the human speech into human conversation. The technology that had proposed here uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) that recognizes the voices of the user and interprets what the user is saying using machine learning algorithms. Within the existing systems there are limitations like there's no sudden response given to the patients. The patients must watch for specialist acknowledgement for an extended time. Some may fire charges to perform live chat or telephony communication with doctors through online. To avoid such problems patients can address ask about their queries to chatbots first as they're instant. Here the proposed idea of this project is to build a healthcare chatbot that can identify the diseases through the patients queries and supply necessary details before consulting a doctor and also it may suggest the user to take care of their health with specific guidance. Hence, through this advanced technology people will get a thought about their health and have the measures for their right protection. Together with those it also includes about the symptoms, and measures to fight against the present pandemic situations. Mainly the concept behind is to make a chatbot to make sure the privacy for every and each person and thereby it makes lighter for the user to use this by finding the answers for their queries with the assistance of pictorial representations with none human interactions.

Design an artificial intelligence chatbot to support patient declaration and direction of examination rooms for outpatients

Background/Objectives: Automation is a trend currently, and chatbots are an excellent way for organizations to automate customer service duties. The medical profession has been put under immense strain during COVID-19 outbreaks as the number of patients increases rapidly, causing medical institutions and hospitals to be overcrowded. Users will find it challenging to schedule an appointment at a clinic, provide health advice, or update information due to this. Methods/Statistical analysis: A chatbot that supports users in advising, making appointments, and screening COVID-19 patients at clinics can be a valuable resource for both the user and the clinic in this situation. This paper developed a framework for developing a chatbot for clinics using a specific Frequent Answer Question (FAQ) dataset relating to COVID-19 and frequent diseases in Vietnam. In our study, the RASA framework was used with data collected from interviewing receptionists and website of clinics. Findings: Our chatbot can act as a counsellor, assisting patients with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries about symptoms of common illnesses, in particular, COVID-19 patient screening. In addition, we integrated our chatbot with Facebook Messenger and Zalo, two major social networking sites in Vietnam. Improvements/Applications: For specific implementation with each clinic, dataset enhancement and new services information update are necessary for broader applications.

Amid the development of artificial intelligence technologies such as deep learning and natural language processing, chatbots are our society's most extensively used services. Chatbot is a combination of the words "chat" and "robot," and it refers to software that either provides appropriate responses to questions or receives commands through communication with humans. Chatbots are used by computers to replace customer response tasks that humans used to do. Chatbots combine the concepts of chatting and robots. Chatbots powered by artificial intelligence make use of conversation systems to enable users to have conversations in natural language with the chatbots through voice, text, or both. Non-face-to-face culture, also known as "untact", which has emerged as both a societal phenomenon and a part of everyday life as a direct result of the rapid spread of COVID-19 is becoming the new standard. Amidst all of these shifting societal climates and changes, there are also active transitions occurring in the provision of healthcare services and the management of health using AI chatbots. This article examines the definition and structure of artificial intelligence chatbots. It also examines many examples of how AI chatbots are used in the healthcare industry. Finally, it identifies the advantages and limitations of AI-based healthcare chatbots and presents the future direction of AI-based healthcare chatbots.

IRJET- A Comparative Study of Medical Chatbots

In this era of digitization, chatbots are slowly becoming the first point of contact for customers with almost all business organizations, especially for real estate sector, education sector and medical sector. Chatbots in the medical sector are expected to replace the human operators for appointment set up, patient management, sending reminders and perform the operation of a medical assistant. However, the available medical chatbots are not yet able to perform all the duties of a compounder. In this paper, a comparison of various available medical chatbots along with their pros and cons is presented. A multilingual chatbot called 'HEALTHBOT' is also proposed. This chatbot will interact with patients in English and Marathi, will note down their symptoms and pathological test reports, prescribe the patients with further medical tests and suggest them basic medications, diets, and lifestyle changes. The prescriptions produced by the chatbot will be checked by the respective medical practitioner for further investigation. In short, this HEALTHBOT would be highly useful for the medical practitioners as personal assistant and not only that it would save valuable time for both the parties and reduce the medical treatment gap.

Chatbot for healthcare system using Artificial Intelligence

The Chatbots are the computer programs that interact with the users using natural language. The chatbot stores the information in the database to identify the keywords from the sentences and make a decision for the query and answers the question. In this paper keyword, ranking and sentence similarity calculation are done using n-gram, TF-IDF and cosine similarity. From the given input sentence, the score will be obtained for each sentence and more similar sentences are obtained for the given query. The query posed to the bot which isn't comprehended or not present in the database is further processed by the third party, expert system.
