When the right man is honoured, the whole world rejoices! Our front cover captures one such moment of greatness when Yoga Ratna Prof Madanmohan was honoured by the Pondicherry Yoga community with the Lifetime Achievement Award during IDY 2023. Prof Madanmohan has been one of the pioneers of integrating Yoga within the modern medical framework. He has been a teacher and researcher par-excellence and spearheaded numerous monumental projects that provided scientific basis for the practice of Yoga. Param Pujya Swamiji and Ammaji collaborated with him on numerous studies and his work at JIPMER since the mid-1970s resulted in Yoga becoming part of the medical curriculum. He was instrumental in creating the ACYTER at JIPMER in collaboration with MDNIY thus fostering collaboration between traditional and modern sciences. Later he was founding director of the CYTER at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth and then the Centre for Yogic Sciences at AVMC. T The rest of the covers depict special moments of the numerous events held at Pondicherry to celebrate the 9th International Day of Yoga. Whenever Yoga sessions are conducted at Sri Kambaliswamy Madam we are reminded that such are the spiritual places where Yoga should truly be practiced. Dr Anandaji, as Madathipathy and lineage holder of the Rishiculture Gitananda Yoga Tradition led the session from the very spot where Param Pujya Swamiji and our beloved Yogamahashakti Ammaji had taught thousands of children. Hundreds of members of the Indian Yoga Association, Puducherry Yogasana Sports Association, Geetanjali Yogalayam, Vivekananda Yoga Centre, Yoganjali Natyalayam, ISCM and ICYER participated with enthusiasm and joy. We also share special moments from the SBV Yoga Mahotsav organized by the ISCM of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth with nearly 500 faculty, staff and students participating in the Mass Yoga Demonstration at the Pondicherry Promenade with the Gandhi Statue and Old Lighthouse in the background. SBV was once again selected as one of the 100 institutions worldwide by MDNIY, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India as part of "100 Days, 100 Cities, 100 Organisations Countdown to IDY2023". This was followed by the 2-day National Conference on “Holistic Health and Healing through Yoga Therapy” that had excellent academic sessions with prominent resource persons sharing great wisdom and experience with all. Prizes were given to those meritorious students who had won the Yoga Essay, Yoga Quiz and Regional Level Yogasana Competitions that were held during the SBV Yoga Fest 2023. We place on record our gratitude to Director MDNIY, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India for leading this most amazing IDY2023 celebrations. Our dearest and most inspiring Pujya Ammaji continues to bless us all with her benevolence and love. Every activity of ICYER at Ananda Ashram is guided by her vision and brought to life through Dr Ananda with the able assistance of our Worldwide Gitananda Yoga Family. Her childlike glee and Divine love is well captured on this month’s cover. Vijayadasami offered us a golden opportunity to restart the children’s Yoga, Sangeetam and Natyam classes at Yoganjali Natyalayam and more than a hundred students joined in the celebrations. Dr Ananda and Smt Devasena did the Puja and with other faculty members guided students in their lessons for the day. YOGNAT had minimised its operations during the Pandemic and it is hoped that this Vijayadasami will provide necessary impetus to regain its Sukha Sthanam. We also share some images from the birthday celebration of our dearest Shakti Maa Yogacharini Devasena Bhavanani who is caring for all students with her motherly love. She is inspiring so many worldwide and we offer our felicitations to her with loving gratitude and adoration. The back inner cover highlights recent events of the Government of Puducherry where Dr Ananda was featured including the Pondicherry Tourism Summit, the State Level Cultural Competitions and Bharathiar Palkalai Koodam. The back cover is an open invitation to the International Health Research Convention being organised by SBV at Pondicherry. ISCM is hosting an International Conference on Role of Yoga & Music Therapies in Promoting Salutogenesis in collaboration with Indian Yoga Association (Pondy chapter), ICYER at Ananda Ashram, Kaivalyadhama, Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram and Svaram Auroville. We request all our readers to register and attend this great event. May we always be worthy of the grace of the Guru Parampara and may their benevolent blessings sustain our Yoga Sadhana each and every day of our life.

The 10th International Day of Yoga 2024 is the big news of the month and we at Pondicherry had an amazing time celebrating it at the ISCM of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth and at Sri Kambaliswamy Madam (ICYER at Ananda Ashram). The covers showcase memorable captures of the joy of Yoga as our resource persons including Pallavi Kavhane, Swati Morzaria, Beloo Mehra and Prof Velkumari joined us in celebrating Nari Shakti of Yoga at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth during the National Conference on “Empowering Women Through Yoga”. Shakti Maa Devasena Bhavanani and Chinna Ammaji Dhivya Priya enabled the joys of Yogic power to flow seamlessly throughout the event. The Vice Chancellor of SBV Prof NR Biswas, and the Registrar Prof AR Srinivasan, graced a spellbinding demonstration of the Common Yoga Protocol at the Gandhi Tidal on the Pondicherry Promenade while Dean of Academics, Prof AK Das expressed loving support. On June 21 we had an exhilarating time as members of the Pondicherry Yoga family including our Yogathilakams C Shanmugam, Lalitha Shanmugam, E Gajendiran, V Anbhazagan and D Senthil Kumar joined us for the CYP practice at Sri Kambaliswamy Madam. Shri G Dayanidy and Dr R Balaji made sure all events went on ‘error free’ with their dedicated organizational skills. The Grand Finale of the day was however the 21st Birthday Celebration of our dear Deputy Director of YOGNAT, Selvi Dhivya Priya Bhavanani where she was blessed by the extended Pondicherry Yoga family including Prof Madanmohanji who has mentored so many of us. May we "Celebrate Yoga" and be true to its teachings at all times by “Living Yoga”.

The historic inauguration of the Institute of Salutogenesis & Complementary Medicine (ISCM) at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Pondicherry on 22 August 2022 finds pride of place as it may well be the first such institute in a medical setting globally.
