is currently Faculty of Supervision and Instruction for the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE), a Service through Teaching Program, at the University of Notre Dame. He is also a Fellow in the Institute for the Educational Initiatives and an affiliate faculty member in Poverty Studies, American Studies, and Education, Schooling and Society (ESS). Collier teaches courses on the History of Education in American and American Indian History and Culture. His primary teaching responsibilities with ACE prepare college graduates to teach in under resourced Catholic schools around the country. Collier is co-chair of the committee on Teaching and Public Education for the Western History Association and Book Review editor for the Journal of the West. He has recently published on Steve Gachupin and Native American running in Journal of the West and a book chapter on the Harlem Globetrotters. Collier is currently working on a book-length manuscript about St. Catherine Indian School in Santa Fe. Lindsey Passenger Wieck is a doctoral student in the Department of History at the University of Notre Dame. She is interested in the history of bilingual education, community activism, and ethnicity and race. Wieck recently completed her MA thesis entitled, "A Culture and Language of Their Own: Redefining Education and Citizenship in Guadalupe, Arizona, 1970-1979." Wieck is co-chair of the Committee on Teaching and Public Education for the Western History Association. She values her work with projects that aim to improve the teaching and learning of history, including a Teaching American History grant and Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources workshops. Wieck's article, "Defining the National Cultural and Language: 1970s Bilingual Education Activism in Guadalupe, Arizona" will be published in a forthcoming issue of Western Legal History.
