마이크로 채널에서 물의 비등 열전달 특성

An experimental study was carried out to measure the heat transfer coefficient in flow boiling to deionized water in a microchannel having a hydraulic diameter of 500m. Tests were performed in the ranges of heat fluxes from 100 to 400 kW/㎡, vapor qualities from 0 to 0.2 and mass fluxes of 200, 400 and 600 kg/m 2 s. From the experimental results, it is found that the measured heat transfer coefficients is independent of mass flux and quality, and is somewhat dependent of heat flux. Measured data of heat transfer are compared to a few available correlations proposed for macroscale. The previous correlations for macroscale overpredicted the flow boiling heat transfer coefficient for the test conditions considered in this work.

Silicon carbide(SiC) exhibits many unique properties, such as high strength, corrosion resistance, and high temperature stability. In this study, a SiC-fiber web was prepared from polycarbosilane(PCS) solution by employing the electrospinning process. Then, the SiCfiber web was pyrolyzed at 1800 o C in argon atmosphere after it was subjected to a thermal curing. The SiC-fiber web (ground web)/ phenolic resin (resol) composite was fabricated by hot pressing after mixing the SiC-fiber web and the phenolic resin. The SiC-fiber web composition was controlled by changing the fraction of filler (filler/binder = 9:1, 8:2, 7:3, 6:4, 5:5). Thermal conductivity measurement indicates that at the filler content of 60%, the thermal conductivity was highest, at 6.6 W/mK, due to the resulting structure formed by the filler and binder being closed-packed. Finally, the microstructure of the composites of SiC-fiber web/resin was investigated by FE-SEM, EDS, and XRD.

Since the unification of the diverse oceanic current maps of the East Sea in secondary school science textbooks has recently been accomplished, there have been increasing requirements for the production of a current map of the Yellow Sea (YS) and the East China Sea (ECS). This study, as its first attempt, facilitated the prospective production process of the unified oceanic current maps in YS and ECS by analyzing the maps of scientific articles and those of the present textbooks as of 2014. First of all, the analogue current maps of the textbooks and scientific articles were digitalized to retrieve the characteristics of current maps quantitatively and to make intercomparison of the maps. The currents of both YS and ECS such as the Kuroshio Current, the Taiwan Warm Current, the Tsushima Warm Current, the Yellow Sea Warm Current, the Chinese Coastal Current, the Korea Coastal Current, and the Changjiang River Flow were selected and analyzed. We made 18 items to investigate the paths of the currents. Analyses of the oceanic current maps of secondary school science textbooks and scientific articles with respect to the selected criteria revealed that the current maps of the textbooks were considerably different from the up-to-date knowledge of the current maps acquired from the scientific articles. In addition, since the currents of YS and ECS have strong seasonality, we suggest that they should be presented with at least two current maps for summer and winter in the textbooks, which may go through active discussions among experts.

General household vacuum cleaners consist of dust collector, pre filter, motor and exhaust filter, and the filtered clean air is discharged to the atmosphere. By using the CFD methods, we estimated the internal flow in two types of commercial cyclone vacuum cleaners to evaluate the dust collection performance. From the analysis, it was known that the number of revolution had higher values in cyclone cone region. CFD analysis in a specific showed non-uniform velocity distribution at outlet, which results in the deterioration of particle collection performance. In order to improve flow condition, the installation of baffle was proposed and the values of velocity RMS were estimated.

While geothermal energy provides the only base-load power among renewable energy sources, its development has been carried out predominantly in volcanic area. EGS (Enhanced Geothermal System) is a ubiquitous technology that can allow the geothermal power generation virtually in any area. This manuscript introduces the current state-of-the-art of EGS development in the world and presents the hydraulic stimulation technology and associated microseismicity which are key technical component in EGS. Finally this paper suggests the key research areas required in Korea for further development of EGS.

디젤-워터 에멀젼 연료의 조성에 따른 분무 특성에 관한 연구

Using Diesel-Water Emulsion fuel in commercial diesel engine can reduce NOx and soot when it is injected through the injector. Because water in Diesel-Water Emulsion fuel is vaporized ahead of diesel particle and it cause decrease of combustion temperature. Furthermore, research about the possibility of applicating Diesel-Water Emulsion fuels to commercial diesel engine is demanded in order to prove that Diesel-Water Emulsion fuel is able to apply commercial diesel engine without any replacement of equipments. This research analyzed applicable possibility of Diesel-Water Emulsion fuels to commercial diesel engine's fuel injection system refering injection and spray characteristics. In this research, there are 3 experiments, that is injection quantity, spray visualization, and injection rate. Diesel-Water Emulsion fuel has less injection quantities compared to diesel fuel, and spray penetration length is more longer than diesel. Furthermore, emulsion fuels have less dispersed than diesel fuel. In conclusion, comparing with diesel fuel with only spray characteristics, Diesel-Water Emulsion fuel has bad effects about dispersion and vaporization.
