Objective. To reveal an impact of specific motivation structures on the compliance in psychiatric inpatients. Material and methods. The Treatment Motivation Questionnaire and the Medication Compliance Scale have been administered to 104 patients, including 67 patients with schizophrenia and schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, 15 with affective disorders, 13 with personality and neurotic disorders and 9 with organic disorders, of the department of integrative pharmaco- and psychotherapy. Results. A motivational mechanism based on the subjective suffering from disease plays a key role in the formation of overall score of compliance.Amotivationsyndrome has a negative impact on the compliance. “Passive agreement” attitude to treatment corresponds to a deficiency in both patient and physician compliance subsystems along with a reduction in insight and cognitive functions in the patient’s subsystem. Extreme external motivation for treatment correlates with insufficiently constructive support on the part of significant others in patient’s environment subsystem resulting in the delay of internal motivation development. Extremely low scores based on understanding of disease character leads to the deficiency ofmedication compliance subsystem.

The role of setting and pursuing goals in a situation of a suicidal crisis is considered. The place of modern psychological theories examining this problem is evaluated, in particular, the theory of adjustment of goals, approaches that consider the role of hopelessness and positive thinking in a suicidal situation. It is proposed to pay attention to the provisions of the concept of futurreal psychology, which studies the place of long-term goals in the goal structure of a suicidal personality in a goal -oriented mechanism. It is suggested that the typology of goal orientation for certain parameters coincide with certain types of goals, which were considered in the review. A multiple linear regression analysis was performed to determine the factors that serve to predict the setting of a certain type of goals and their relationship to parasuicidal behavior.
The Habit of Acting according to Principles

This article analyses the apparent parallelism between cases, one of which takes place from the deliberate breach of principles, while the other is that in which a less than optimal result is reached through a lack of cooperation — the so-called prisoner's dilemma. The author demonstrates that in spite of apparent similarities between the two cases, there nevertheless exists a fundamental difference which does not allow them to be classed as the same. On the other hand, the reasoning behind both of these situations may be explained by resorting to a type ofprinciple or maxim which can best be described as finding a middle way. The basic structural difference between the two types may be described as follows: if the hypothesis seems probable, the given principle will condition the decision in different situations and on different levels of thought
On Effectiveness – as a Measure of Compliance of Funds and Tasks They Solve
2020
This article discusses the concept of efficiency as a measure of the correspondence of the means and the tasks they solve in the context of operations. In the general case, efficiency is understood as a certain degree of conformity of any means, efforts, measures, actions, etc. specific goals for which they are involved. A significant variety of activities and the goals achieved with this determines the corresponding variety of concepts of efficiency.

Directional cell migration plays an important role in physiological processes, such as living beings protection from infections and virus, wound healing, cancer metastasis, etc. Cell migration, among other things, depend on exposure of chemical concentration gradients on cells. Recently, microfluidic devices have been applied to the study of cell migration. These devices allow to perform precise configure and manipulation of chemical gradients that is opening up new possibilities in studies of complex interactions of cells within a population and an environment. The review is devoted to achievements related to the development of microfluidic devices for the study of chemical gradients influence on cell migration. Moreover, a classification of these devices and their comparison with conventional approaches used in cell biology to solve similar problems have been highlighted.

The article deals with the logical structure of action in Stoicism. Both Early and Imperial Stoics looked up to the same sequence: impression — assent — judgment — action. However, Socratic identity of virtue and knowledge developed in two different ways. Early Stoics supposed that the right judgment follows to ethics, which follows to physics and logic; therefore, good action is consistent with a long chain of premises and conclusions. The advantage of this approach is a strict logical necessity of the way of life, but there is deficiency too: if some philosophical opponents will criticize the intermediate premises of the logical consistency, the whole reasoning will be ruined. Imperial Stoics changed this situation: each action is a consequence of principles (τὰ δόγματα, decreta); then action passes same intermediate premises and goes back to the first principles. However, the formal structure remains the same: we recognize a thing by the general concepts, which directly sends us to the first principles, not to the ethical precepts. Although Early Stoics mention dogma in a similar sense three times, we have to admit: this structure was inherent in Late Stoa par excellence. At the same time, we cannot assert some key difference between two approaches, because both of them provide consistency of theory and practice.
