A BRIEF LOOK AT THE COSMIC THEOLOGY OF EPHESIANS (original) (raw)

The epistle to the Ephesians is considered one of the finest theological treatises in the New Testament. Its contents reveal the plan of the Father, expressed in a Trinitarian nature, to unite all as His chosen and root them in the knowledge of His love for them and what He has given them. Christ was sent as the enabler of this unification and those who have received His salvation have been granted a seat with Him in the heavenly places. The goal of this paper is to reveal distinctives of Ephesians despite its close association to Colossians. To do this, background of the writing, structure and theological issues will be examined.
