Abstract
Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common type of cancer for men. Nutrition plays an important role in the development and progression of prostate cancer. Dietary components in PCa cells; showed that high intake of energy, saturated fat, refined carbohydrates and animal protein, as well as insufficient intake of fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains, essential minerals and phytochemicals, were associated with the etiology and treatment of PCa. A literature search was conducted using electronic databases supported by a manual review of the reference list of articles from PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar until March 2022. The following key terms are used: Pub-Med, Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar: ("Prostate Cancer" OR "Diet" OR "Nutrition" OR "Nutrient Intake" OR "Dietary Patterns" OR "Diet Patterns") terms are used.
