Background Leadership has become the key issues in managing the organization, the emerging business and economic environments have forced organizations to be flexible, adaptive, entrepreneurial and innovative to meet changing demand of the present-day business environment. The purpose of the present study is to examine the relationship between the various dimensions of transformational leadership (predictor variable) and their effects on employees’ job satisfaction (criterion variable) in three selected Colleges (Medicine, Dentistry and Science) in King Khalid University. Methods The methodology employed in this study was a quantitative and cross-sectional correlational survey type of design Data collection was done using a questionnaire design that was directly administered to the participants. 250 questionnaires were sent to the participating three colleges (Medicine, Dentistry and Sciences). Results The findings of the multiple linear regression analysis indicated a weak positive association between transformational leadership behaviour and employees’ job satisfaction (R-value 0.386). The multiple linear regression analysis signifies a weak positive correlation between transformational leadership behaviour and job satisfaction (R-value 0.386). A p-value in Spearman’s rho that is less than the 0.05 level of significance indicated that there is a significant level of relationship which exists between transformational leadership behaviour and job satisfaction. Conclusions This study concluded that transformational leadership behaviour and its four dimensions showed a weak positive correlation with a statistically significant level of relationship between transformational leadership behaviour and employees’ job satisfaction among three selected colleges (Medicine, Dentistry and Sciences) in King Khalid University, Abha, Saudi Arabia.

The Effect of Transformational Leadership on Employee Job Satisfaction (Study at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Assaidiyah Surabaya)

The active role of leaders and leadership models that are in accordance with the needs of educational institutions are very much needed. Teachers and Employees have a desire to be led by certain people who have a clear vision of the goals, understand how to realize the goals and try to teach them. The role of the leader in a school or madrasa is expected to create a sense of fairness for employees; Characteristics of leaders affect the work climate in an educational institution. Leaders expected by school employees are leaders who are able to provide job satisfaction to employees. This study was designed to examine whether transformational leadership has a significant effect on job satisfaction. Using a sample at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Assyaidiyah, data collection was carried out by distributing 64 questionnaires. Based on the simple linear regression analysis used, the results showed that transformational leadership had a significant positive effect on employee job satisfaction.

Relationship between Transformational Leadership and Employees’ Job Satisfaction among the Academic Staff

The Effect of Transformational Leadership on Job Satisfaction: An Investigation on Academic Staffs at Faculties of Sports Sciences in Turkey

Transformational leadership and job satisfaction are among the topics that attract the most attention of researchers. This is due to the role that both topics play in employee performance. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the effect of transformational leadership on job satisfaction of academic staff working in higher education institutions. Data were collected from academic staff (n=208) working in the faculties of Sport Sciences within 6 universities, in Turkey. As a data collection tool, Bass and Avolio's (2000) Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire to measure transformational leadership, and job satisfaction scale developed by Chang and Chang (2007) to measure job satisfaction, were used. Descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analyses were used as statistical analysis. Transformational Leadership and Job Satisfaction In the Saudi Arabian Technical Colleges

The purpose of this descriptive and cross-sectional analysis is to study leadership profiles of the heads of technical departments in technical colleges in the western region of Saudi Arabia, and explore the relationship between department heads' transformational leadership behaviours, trainers' job satisfaction, and some demographic variables. The data were collected through the distribution of one questionnaire among 357 trainers in the five technical colleges in the western region of Saudi Arabia. Three instruments were used in the questionnaire: the Roueche, Baker and Rose (1989) model to assess department chair transformational leadership behaviours; the Mohrman, Cooke, Mohrman, Duncan and Zaltman (1977) model of Morhman-Cooke-Morhman Job Satisfaction Scale (MCMJSS); and a demographic segment. The results shows that the dominant transformational behaviour was (value), with a mean score of 3.89, while (Motivation) was perceived as the weakest of the transformational behaviours with a mean score of 3.75. The analysis support relationship between department heads perceived transformational and college trainers' job satisfaction.

Transformational leadership and job satisfaction

This study investigated the relationship between transformational leadership style of principals and the job satisfaction of teachers in secondary schools of Karachi. For this purpose Minnesota satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) were administered to 100 secondary schools teachers of different schools of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. Qualitative analysis was carried out by using SPSS software. Regression tests were used to analyze the data taking into consideration the descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviations. The results showed a positive correlation between transformational leadership and employee job satisfaction. Findings suggest that transformational leader ship contributes to the job satisfaction of employees.

Role of Transformational Leadership on Employee’s Job Satisfaction: the Case of Private Universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The impact and type of effective leadership has a significant role in the improvement of organizational performance. This study has been conducted to indicate the importance of transformational leadership style on employees’ job satisfaction. The aim of this study is to describe the relationship between transformational leadership and employees’ job satisfaction at private universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A sample of 150 employees responded to a three-part instrument from two private universities in Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Factor analysis, means, standard deviations, correlation and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The findings determined that a moderate, positive and significant relationship exists between the dimensions transformational leadership and employees’ job satisfaction for both work of nature and operating condition. This study suggests that leaders at the private universities should pay more attention to findings new analytical ways for old problems and describing the demand of followers. It was revealed that transformational leadership had a significant positive moderate relationship with overall teachers’ job satisfaction. In spite of the article was written well, the study has no clearly articulated specific research method and there existed warning signals of multicollinearity problem in the data. These flaws of the article might lead to an inaccurate conclusion and deter its replication.

The Relationship between Transformational Leadership Practiced and the Level of Job Satisfaction among Lecturers in MARA Professional College, Malaysia

The quality and level of job satisfaction among lecturers play a significant role in implementing transformation to improve the education system. The main reason for the decreasing of job performances among lecturers is due to the low level of job satisfaction. This study aimed to examine the relationship between a director's transformational leadership style and the level of job satisfaction among lecturers at MARA Professional College. This is a survey study employing descriptive and inferential quantitative method. The Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) and Job Descriptive Index (JDI) instruments were distributed to 64 participants that were chosen using simple random sampling from the 75 population of MARA Professional College lecturers. The data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 22. The findings revealed that the level of practice of the director on transformational leadership was low. In addition, there was a significant relationship between the transformational leadership practice of the director and the level of job satisfaction among lecturers at MARA Professional College. The level of job satisfaction among the lecturers was influenced by the director's leadership practice, thus a director can increase the level of job satisfaction among the staff by practicing the transformational leadership style in managing a college. The findings are expected to assist the organization of MARA Professional College to identify the level of work pressure faced by the lecturers.
