Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) courses at engineering under/degree studies (original) (raw)

2014

Abstract

ABSTRACT Effectiveness of information and communication technologies (ICT) in OHS courses at university engineering students was measured through the students´ perception. A specific online questionnaire was designed for current research. A total of 308 students from engineering courses completed the questionnaire successfully. Results showed that ICT significantly contributed to the understanding of the topics. Combination of use of ICT and face-to face teaching sessions is the best way to learn OHS concepts.
