The policy of continuing healthcare education (CHE) aims to develop healthcare workers. With the objective of analyzing the process of implementing and developing the policy in Paraná, a qualitative study involving the six regions of this state is being concluded. This paper relates to the results from the northern region, focusing on the "experiencing CHE" category. In December 2006, two focus groups were conducted involving representatives from management, training, attendance and participation. The data underwent thematic content analysis. The first CHE encounters aroused feelings of mistrust and resistance, and the center was understood as a means of enabling courses and funding sources. There was a diversity of interests and little negotiating capacity. During the process, the study participants began to talk, reflect and participate. Their teamwork was a positive experience. This experience allowed them to recognize the power of CHE for linking and mobilizing different players. Keywords: Continuing healthcare education. Healthcare policy. Healthcare work. Continuing education.

Therefore, studying the Social Representations of professionals about the actions of health education offered by them to the community allows us to capture the meanings that these actors give to their practices; but, without underestimating the conditions under which they are developed. The purpose of this research is identifying the representations of the Family Health Strategy members about the health education. This is essentially a qualitative descriptive research, which was made in nine Health Centers with Family Health Strategy, in the city of Curitiba-Paraná, along with 58 health professionals. The data were collected in July to December 2010, through semi-structured interviews, after that the transcripts were submitted to thematic content analysis. It was founded two different modes of understanding of health education by professionals: "Knowledge Sculptors" and "Education for autonomy" and other conceptions, which prove the need for improvement and learning, and to invest in permanent education of professionals.
Social Work and Sociology - -preparação de artigo
In this article we will try to discuss the specificities and connexions between Social Work and Sociology, conceiving the possibility to surpass sterile oppositions and to compose an analytical and practical integrated model by the articulation, without assimilation, of the two disciplines. In fact, many traditions and trends in Sociology, particularly from the Sociology of Action and Critical Sociology, have contributed to a critical questioning of the modern Social Work professional practice, namely about the processes and strategies of social control and the paradox underlying the dissociation between the theoretical-philosophical assumptions of Social Work and its actual practice, frequently with paternalistic and normative outlines. On the other hand, some perspectives of Social Work, specially on what concerns the comprehension and evaluation of social policies and social needs, have also an important role in the (re)construction of sociological analytical perspectives. Following such assumptions, we will discuss, in the first part of the article, the analytic and methodological crossings between Social Work and Sociology, in order to consider, in the second part, the possibilities and pertinence of an osmotic and truly interdisciplinary model integrating both disciplines.

Política Social e Serviço Social: os desafios da intervenção profissional
Revista Katálysis, 2013
This article discusses social policy and Social Work and the challenges that their relationship presents for professional intervention. It emphasizes the flourishing and deepening of the debate about this issue in the past two decades of the 20th century, and its consolidation in the early 21st century, which is expressed through the constant production of knowledge and the peculiar insertion of agencies that represent the professional category in the struggle for the institutionalization of public policies compatible with the values found in the Code of Professional Ethics for social workers. The strongest focus is on the issues of the intervention of social workers in the field of social policy, through implementation of the professional project, committed to defending social rights of a universal character. From this perspective, it involves social policy as a contradictory field that is permeated by antagonistic social interests and projects, in which questions directly related to specificity and professional autonomy are revised.
Socio-health care as continuous training at the UNED (National University of Distance Education
E-learning training offers the possibility of updating and implementing the training received by professionals in the socio-health area. This type of training is very useful for professionals who carry out a professional activity and have family responsibilities, since it allows them to reconcile their family and work life. The European Union insists on the need for coordination of health and social services to achieve a high level of quality and effective use of resources and long-term care in their environment (Munuera, 2016). The increase in life expectancy and the growth of the older population generate new situations that demand a response from the institutions in order to obtain the necessary attention and avoid degenerative diseases or crises that become chronic or structural, which has more to do with the need to design bio-psycho-social interventions, as required by the current citizens. In this study we analyze the importance of socio-health training in the e-learning modality in the two editions of the socio-health and social services in Social Work course, for those professionals working in health and social services. The objective of the training has been to strengthen the skills of professionals in the construction of a socio-health space that strengthens the quality and effectiveness of responding to the needs of the population according to the Official Association of Social Workers of Madrid (1). It begins with the concept of health care adopted in the project of the Community of Madrid as the set of benefits and services that ensure health and social care for people who are in a situation of dependency and disability for the development of their autonomous life as a consequence or associated to the existence of a chronic disease. The methodology used was initially a bibliographic review in scientific databases, then the data provided by the statistics on the course provided by the application of UNED Open Insights has been analyzed and a qualitative analysis has been carried out categorizing the opinions given by the students. The training that is analyzed has the purpose of strengthening a coordination space between social and health services in order to increase the quality of care received and thus implement the interventions of professionals from the field of Social Work in those problems that require a more social, global or holistic approach, than those offered by other, more known or developed approaches such as biological, psychological, educational, etc.
