Audio Visual ads currently have widespread influence in the community. This great influence is not only used in industrial products, but the development of Audio Visual Ads as political tools is also widespread. This situation is certainly an opportunity for political actors to use this media as a means of campaign for community meetings. One of the contexts of the use of Audio Visual Advertising as a promotional means is carried out by the respective winning team of candidates in the second round of DKI Jakarta Governor Election. The use of this media, of course, among beginners. Audio Media received by prospective novice voters. This research use the Reception Analysis method, which is very useful in terms of how the audience receives the exposure of a medium. The results of this study indicate that both ads from each candidate pair of governor and vice governor of DKI Jakarta are accepted with very different meaning. Ahok-Djarot's campaign ads are more acceptable to audiences of diversity and issues about SARA, as well as displaying diversity aspect from the perspective of pluralism. Moreover, the audience received messages from Ahok-Djarot's campaign advertisement about diversity in a hard and straightforward way. On the other hand, the advertisement of the Anies-Sandi Konsumsi campaign is interpreted by the audience as more egalitarian, as well as featuring the issue of SARA through the perceptive perspective of harmony, tolerance and tolerance. However, Anies-Sandi campaign ads do not have a message expressly to still appear to appear conceptually.

The Cepung Lombok Theatre Performance Staging Pattern: Social Relevance of Sasak Society in Performing Arts

The Cepung Lombok theatre is one of Jero Mihram's masterpieces. An intelligent Sasak Muslim person in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province, eastern Indonesia. The invention has sourced a lontar called Tutur Monyeh written by Jero Mihram during the Hindu Karangasem Bali era in western Lombok. Based on the politic-social context and situation, the Cepung Lombok theatre cannot be separated from the social history. Also, the intellectual Sasak during inflaming freedom awareness is constantly related. Each symbol of the performance shown in the Cepung theatre has a close social relationship with each other. The study was conducted using qualitative methods based on interviews with Cepung theatre artists and other important documents. To strengthen the analysis, the Sociology of theatre and literary theories were used. The findings are that the Cepung theatre staging pattern is derived from Islamic values and Sasak culture. The performance staging pattern shows that one of the Sasak people's resistance against injustice is symbolized through the performance staging pattern itself. The resistance is expressed symbolically because the Islamic values and Sasak culture should be well-highlighted to differentiate themselves from the actors of injustice.

Communication of Performing Art "Tanah" of Theatre CCL Bandung as Sociocultural Construction

Contemporary theatre performing art is media of art communication deriving from the ideas of the artists to express phenomena existing in their sociocultural surroundings. This study is aimed at analizing and interpreting the expression of theatre performance which can be answers, expectation, criticism, and picture of the past, the present and the future life. The expression is communicated through the art of theatre either dramatically, kinesthetically, musicalistically, or visualistically by the performers who all at once construct their society related to the socioculture life experienced in their surrounding. The method applied in this research is qualitative approach with interpretative spirit in phenomenology perspective. This method focuses on in-depth interview, participant observation, and self reflection through the experience of experiment work on Indonesian contemporary theatre performance. The result of the study shows that the theatre group of CCL Bandung supporting the problems of "land" offers a distinctive answer and solution which are relatively different from their surroundings and the society in general. Furthermore, the cultural and social information in contemporary theatre performance can be knowledge, understanding, and a particular viewpoint in answering the sociocultural challenge in the present days

Aesthetic Response of Audiences’ Behavior of Dangdut Koplo Music Performance

Dangdut Koplo music performances are favored and watched by the public. This is able to generate an aesthetic response of the audiences, which is shown by their behavior. This study aims to examine the aesthetic response of audience behavior of dangdut koplo music performances in Pekalongan. This research uses qualitative methods, data collection using observation, interview, and document study techniques. Data analysis procedures used data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The validity of the data used is triangulation, data sources, and theory. The results showed that the aesthetic response in the audience behavior of dangdut koplo music performance in Kalirejo village, Talun, Pekalongan Regency had a positive response that led to behavior, such as (1) dancing with friends in groups or alone; (2) Menyawer (giving some money); and (3) notice the show schedule. The Cupak Gerantang Theater is a traditional art that is starting to be threatened with extinction (crisis-existence). Effectivity of Communication General Election Commission Tangerang City in Socialization About 'Kotak Kosong

In June 2018 Indonesia conducted the general election of the regional head (pilkada) simultaneously. The interesting thing about pilkada this time is the emergence of the phenomenon of a single candidate in some area. One area that has a single candidate in the city of Tangerang. Voter ballots where there is only a single candidate, the partner is an empty box. Not all societies understand what an empty box is, so socialization is needed for the community to understand. The purpose of this research is to know and analyze the effectiveness of socialization about "empty box" conducted by the General Election Commission (KPU) Tangerang City in Tangerang mayoral election in 2018. This research approach is quantitative. The methods that were used is the survey method with descriptive type. The technique of data retrieval is done through questionnaires distributed to the respondents selected by purposive. The subjects of this study are the people of Tangerang City who have the right to vote which is categorized based on age that is 17 years old until 60 years old. Based on the result of the preliminary survey, it is known that the socialization conducted by KPU-Tangerang has not been effective yet, from 100 respondents obtained 50% result know about the existence of 'kotak kosong' (empty box) while 50% others do not know. Of the respondents who knew about the empty box, 89% were obtained from the Network of Empty Boxes, not from the KPU.

Blusukan Cultural as a Political Power in The Regional Head Election of Surakarta

Blusukan has existed since the days of the Javanese kings. In the context of political communication, the blusukan carried out by political candidates aims to influence the voice of potential voters or to win the campaign. Attire, ways of speaking, language, posture and other attributes used by political candidates determine people's perception of the candidate's image. In order to attract public attention, political candidates use local cultural identities and attributes, namely Javanese culture to various places. Although we have entered the era of digital technology, but the strength of blusukan can still be felt today through the interpersonal communication between political candidates and the society. This research uses literature study method and documentation study from credible and reliable data. The data collected consists of two types, for instance primary and secondary data.Qualitative analysis is carried out in desk study, namely information retrieval and data collection through literature studies. The results showed: the society felt proud to be able to meet directly with the political candidates, blusukan had been able to influence the behavior of potential voters, and blusukan was very effective during the regional head election campaign.

The purpose of this article is to discuss the process of cultural transformation from ritual to popular in the performance of gamelan koromong arts in Cikubang Village, Sumedang Regency, West Java. Gamelan koromong art is held once a year on the 14th of Maulud in the Islamic calendar year. This study analyzes the transformation process of gamelan koromong art that takes place in Cikubang from the old condition (tradition) to the new (popular) condition. Based on the context, koromong art functions is as ritual art only. But along with the changing times, the context experienced a process of transformation into a popular performing arts. This change in context also resulted in changes in the textual elements of the show. So the focus of the discussion in this article is on the factual conditions of gamelan koromong, the various changes that have taken place, and the factors that led to the change process.

Communication is the need of the society. It is one such developments in the history of human race which has multiplied their progress in manifold. This communication is of two kinds ‘verbal’ and ‘non-verbal’. According to experts, Theatre, which is one of the oldest art form in human history, is also regulated by these ‘verbal’ and ‘non-verbal’ communication. Many theories and acting techniques utilizes them for crafting the production or training the actors. But, people have forgotten that deep within the layers of these ‘verbal’ and ‘nonverbal’ communication lies the basic emotions of humans what we feel in day to day life. Emotions and Feelings like ‘Pathos’, ‘Happiness’, ‘Anger’, ‘Hate’, ‘Shame’ and ‘Guilt’ occurs to us in various contexts of life and actor depends upon them to showcase whatever character s/he is playing on stage. Bharata Muni in his treatise on theatre ‘Natyasastra’ discusses it in detail in the sixth and seventh chapter based on Rasas and Bhavas. Though, they are inter-dependent but still there are multiple ambiguities left to understand how they work together. The paper will try to define how they work within text and what role they play when a text becomes a performance. It will also try to define that how and why they constitute the universal language of performance across cultures.

Connecting Cultural and festival in Preserving the Identity: A Case of Nongkrem Festival

The cultural festivals are one of the essential in preserving the local custom and tradition of any society. Especially in the case of small festivals, it is often as seen as the most important upshot for any event. Events can provide tourists with authentic information about culture, their routes and lifestyle. This paper will discuss the linkage between culture and festival of Nongkrem Festival in preserving the cultural identity, Nongkrem Dance Festival was held annually in the month of November at Smit, which is around 15 kilometres to the southwest of Shillong. Nongkrem festival is considered as the major religious festival among the Khasis. It is a five-day long festival which is celebrated for the harvest thanksgiving by the Khasi tribe. This colourful festival had able to attract large numbers of tourists, Attendance figures were highest at the opening and closing ceremonies, such events did lead to a positive self-identification for the local community. A qualitative technique is used for data collection and Narrative method of analysis is used for interpreting the data.
