Abstract
In this article, a wideband hybrid multiple input multiple output (MIMO) cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (CDRA) is studied. The wideband isolation is achieved with the help of novel circular ring shaped defected ground structure. The proposed MIMO antenna operates in the frequency range 3.7GHz-7.25GHz. Isolation of proposed MIMO antenna (S12) is less than −17dB over the entire operating band. The proposed antenna is found suitable for WLAN and WiMAX applications.
