Client’s Satisfaction with the Services Offered by (Rural Health Units) RHU’s in the Province of Capiz

The study was conducted in the 1st District of Capiz. Respondent municipalities were Pilar, President Roxas, Panitan, and Panay. Those who were involved in the study were 320 clients chosen purposively for the realization of the study. This study used the descriptive research design. The distribution of respondents was based on the availability of clients during visitation to the health clinics. It also made use of online poll surveys from known friends for prompt retrieval of data. Respondents of the study were the clients of Rural Health Units and residents of different Municipalities in the 1st District of Capiz. The study started last June 2019, and other pertinent data from the RHUs were gathered until October 2019. Frequency, percentage, and mean analysis were used to interpret the data using SPSS. A huge portion of clients are females; almost half are at the age bracket of 36-45 years old and married. All municipalities had served 4,034 clients for the past three months. The farthest coastal RHU from the city had the highest number of clients served. Clients were highly satisfied with the services offered by RHUs in the Province of Capiz.

Evaluation of Consumers' Satisfaction towards Rural Primary Health Care Services in Babylon Governorate

Study aims: To evaluate consumers' satisfaction towards rural primary health care services in Babylon Governorate, and to determine the relationship between Consumers' satisfaction towards rural primary health care services with consumers' demographic characteristics of age, gender, occupation, education and socioeconomic status. Methodology: A descriptive study is conducted throughout the period of (October 18 th 2015 to May 2 nd 2016) in order to evaluate consumers' satisfaction towards rural primary health care services in Babylon Governorate. A systematic random sample of (240) consumers is selected through the use of probability sampling approach. This sample is distributed throughout three primary health care sectors according to Babylon Health Department. These sections are AL-Mahaweel, Hilla First and AL-Hashimya for primary health care sectors. A total of (12) rural primary health care centers is selected for the purpose of the study. The reliability of the questionnaire which is determined through a pilot study and the validity are achieved through a panel of (10) experts. The overall items, which are included in the questionnaire, are (48) items. These items are divided into (6) sections which include consumers' satisfaction, trust services, empathy, responsiveness, assurance and general building structure of the rural primary health care centers. Data are collected through the use of structured interview technique and the questionnaire as means for data collection. Data are analyzed through the application of descriptive statistical data analysis approach that includes, frequencies, percentages, mean of scores, and graphical presentation of data by pie-chare; and inferential statistical data analysis approach that include Chi-squared test. Results: The study results indicate that consumers' are satisfied with the services provided at rural primary health care centers in a high proportion of satisfaction with the efficiency health services and low proportion of consumers is satisfied to certain limit with the services provided in term of general building structure of rural primary health care centers. Conclusion: The study concludes that the consumers' are satisfied with the efficiency of health care services provided at rural primary health care centers, due to intensive monitoring and evaluation through the government policies. Also, consumers' socioeconomic status and occupation have affected their satisfaction in comparison with others socio-demographic characteristic. Recommendations: The study recommends that further studies can be conducted to involve a national level to evaluate the health care services and to compare the health care services provided at rural and urban primary health care centers. And decision makers should support the strength point in the health care services provided at rural areas to insure that these services can meet the consumers' needs.

Patients' Satisfaction with Healthcare Services Received in Health Facilities in Bushenyi District of Uganda

Globally, patients get frustrated with the commercialization of medical services, bureaucratic healthcare system and deteriorated patient-health workers relationship, leading to dissatisfaction with healthcare services. Satisfaction is an expression of the gap between the expected and perceived characteristics of service. Aim: To investigate patients' satisfaction with health care services received in health facilities in Bushenyi district. Methodology: The study was a descriptive correlational type, used purposive sampling to select hospitals and health center IVs, while simple random sampling was used to select health Centre IIs and IIIs in the district. Systematic random sampling was employed to select participants. SERVQUAL and closed ended questionnaires were administered to 303 respondents. The data were analyzed using the statistical package for sciences version 21. Results: showed that 77.9%, [95% CI (0.729-0.822)] of the respondents expressed their satisfactions with the service delivery. 22.1%, [95% CI (0.178-0.2717)] were dissatisfied. The mean difference in satisfaction between Private and Public health facilities shows t-value as 2.622 and p-value of 0.009. Binary logistic regression showed odd ration (OR): [2.072, 95% CI (1.190-3.608)] and p= 0.010. Time taken in the health facilities, p= 0.007, [OR= 5.791 95% CI (1.617-20.735)], explaining findings to patients, p-value of 0.032, [OR=1.823, 95% CI = (0.740-4.488)], waiting time to see clinicians/doctors, p= 0.043 and [OR=1.668 95%CI= (0.078-35.586)], and regular drug supply, p-value of 0.002, [OR= 3.005, 95% CI (1.486-6.077)], were statistically significant factors. Conclusions: 77.9% of people in Bushenyi district were satisfied with health care services.

Evaluation of Community Satisfaction with field-based Primary care Services in a village in North India

Background: Health care systems with a strong foundation of Primary health Care are recognized for improving the overall health of populations. Higher degree of beneficiary satisfaction has always been associated with improved health status and has worked as an important predictor of health outcomes, compliance with treatment and community involvement. Aims: To assess satisfaction with field-based primary care services currently being implemented in the village of Laltonkalan. Methodology: This was a cross-sectional study in which interviews were conducted at the community level. For the field survey, a semi-structured questionnaire was used regarding the field services in the village of Laltonkalan using cluster sampling technique. Data was entered in Epi Data and analyzed using SPSS. Results: Majority of the respondents were female (54.7%), married (84.7%) and housewife (43.3%). More than half of the respondents were between 40-60 years. Majority of the respondents (98.5%) received Health Education and FP advice and almost 60% availed Immunization and growth monitoring services. Almost 84% respondents were very satisfied with the services provided at home. Only 8% of the respondents did not find the health worker's visit useful for them. Conclusion: In the study, high level of satisfaction was reported with the services provided in the community however additional services such as house visits by doctor, laboratory investigations and provision of medicines were desired by the participants. The study also revealed that majority of the people did not have any barriers to health but among those who reported having barriers to better health, financial constraints was the most common hindrance.

A cross-sectional study on patient satisfaction toward services received at rural health center, Chandigarh, North India

Background: Shortcomings in the delivery of primary health care services at state-run centers and more dependence on private health care service providers has resulted in lesser utilization rates. Feedback from patients is vital if deficiencies are to be identified and improvements achieved. This study attempts to assess client satisfaction of the PHC services provided by a rural health training center. Objectives: The main objective of the study is to measure the satisfaction of OPD patients at a rural health center, and also (1) to know the relationships between the various determinants and OPD patients satisfaction and (2) to correlate patient satisfaction with the sociodemographic profile. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was done to assess the satisfaction of services provided at the rural health center which caters to population of around 40,000. The response was rated on a 5-point Likert scale. SPSS version 15 was used to analyze the data. Average satisfaction of each patient was taken and the overall mean and SD was calculated to know about the overall satisfaction. Results: The mean age is 33.45 ± 10.719 years. The mean waiting time for consultancy was 11.84 ± 8.932 min. The mean consultation time by the physician was 6.06 ± 3.002 min. The mean waiting time for drugs is 5.93 ± 5.213 min. Only 28.5% were highly satisfied with the available lab investigations. 58.5% of the clients were highly satisfied with the doctor's relationship with the patients. 63% felt that adequate privacy was given during consultation. Conclusions: The results of the present study showed that although the overall satisfaction was high, some aspects of services indicated some degree of dissatisfaction.

Patients' Perception, Views and Satisfaction with Community Health Center Services at Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The study was conducted during December, 2015 at the Community Health Center (CHC) of Human Development Foundation (HDF), Mardan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan with the objectives to study the services delivered by the CHC to the rural poor's. For this primary data were collected by means of questionnaires from 120 female respondents and were analyzed by descriptive statistics. Findings pointed that that all of the respondents were satisfied for the medical care provided to them at the CHC and pointed that CHCs contribute in significant ways to the growth and stability of low-income neighborhoods. All of the respondents preference CHC for treatment even if another facility is made available and they are willing to always recommend CHC to her friends, relatives, family for treatment and they are more satisfied from CHC treatment rather than others. In conclusion it is to be said that the CHC plays a pivotal role in enhancing the health status of the rural population in district Mardan by providing all health care facilities to the rural population at the centers and the community/patients in majority situation were satisfied from the heath care system of CHC. It was recommended that that the CHC project must be extended to other rural areas of the district, so that majority of the population will be benefited from its interventions and also more attention should be given to the patient care by introducing modern health care facilities at the door step to the needy patient.

Client Satisfaction with Quality of Health Care in a Rural area in Southern India

Client satisfaction is an important method to assess the pattern of utilization of health care services amongst all sectors indirectly reflecting on the quality of services. Most of the clients prefer private over government services due to multiple reasons. To assess the level of satisfaction of patients attending rural government and private health facilities in rural Andhra Pradesh. Ten villages were randomly selected from the field practice area of a teaching medical institution, and all patients who visited any facility during the past three months were interviewed using a semi-structured questionnaire focusing on access to care, competence of the providers, quality and cost of the services and overall satisfaction with the services. ATTITUDE OF RURAL COMMUNITY TOWARDS HEALTH CARE UTILIZATION AT PRIMARY LEVEL PUBLIC HEALTH FACILITIES

The study was conducted to assess the attitude of rural community towards health care utilization at primary level public health facilities. Study Design: Descriptive cross sectional study carried out over a period of six months from June to November 2007. Study Setting: A randomly selected village (Lohagach) of Sreepur Upazila under Gazipur district. Subjects: 305 randomly selected adult (age 15-60 years) household members who are permanent residents of the said area. Materials and methods: Data was collected by face to face interview with a semi-structured questionnaire. Results: Among the 305 respondents, 55.40% are male and 44.60% are female with mean age of 32.39 years (± SD 11.94). Most respondents have educational qualification up to secondary level (32.10%) while some up to primary level (21%). Majority of the respondents are housewives (35.40%) and Service holders (20.30%) having an average monthly family income of TK.7805.57 (± SD 6442.24).

A CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY OF UTILIZATION OF PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE SERVICES: A STUDY OF ALIGARH DISTRICT.

Primary Health Centre (PHC) is the most vital constituent of Public Health Care System as it is the first place of interaction between the populations and the Public Health System. The government is trying to expand the delivery of health care services through various programmes, so as to improve the health status of people. The most important aspect of the success of health programmes is the extent of availing of public health services by the people. Thus, it would be essential to determine the reasons which help in better availability of public health care service by individuals particularly at PHC level, so that health for all is achieved. As the government is trying to address health issues of rural through National Rural Health Mission 2005, there is need to examine whether there is any association between the types of services and socio-economic variables of PHC, Jawaan Block of Aligarh District. The study also tries to know about people’s knowledge about NRHM programme. The present paper tries to address these questions by using, statistical measures; simple percentage analysis, averages and the Pearson’s Chi-square test for independence has been used to test the hypotheses. The study found significant association between the marital status, education, income and type of services. Gender, age, occupation and type of services doesn’t show any significance. However in instance of socio-economic variable and knowledge about NRHM there is no significant association only income shows the significant association.
