Based on such matters then the lecturer sued to be able to determine the methods or appropriate learning media in the learning process. One of the learning media being interested was mobile learning in the form of the digital-book. Learning media as a source of learning would help teachers, lecturers, and enrich students' insight. Digital Book in this research showed competence, materials, example problems, and evaluation questions. The method used was the Research and Development (R&D) with it was a development process using a model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). ADDIE model development research was done only until the Development stage because this study was limited to develop and produce valid instructional media applications to be implemented based on an assessment validator. Data collection instruments consisted of expert valid...

Interactive E-Learning Portal for Enrichment of Conceptual Understanding of Grade 8 Learners in Physics

This study dealt with the use of interactive e-learning portal for the enrichment of Grade 8 learners' conceptual understanding in Physics at Luis Palad National High School for the School Year 2014-2015. This study utilized experimental method of research employing the use of post-test control group design. An interactive e-learning portal containing some hyperlinked lectures, interactive games, e-quizzes with rubrics and readily available answers, an e-dictionary in Physics, and the simulated demonstrations was developed for Grade 8 learners in Physics. Based on the findings, it was concluded that the interactive e-learning portal can enrich the learners' conceptual understanding of the students in Grade 8 Science-Physics. Therefore, the use of e-learning portal may be adopted not only in lessons in Physics but also in Biology, Chemistry and Earth Science. However still, further modification of the material may be done by providing add-ons aside from features presented in the current e-learning portal.

The results showed that generally, the students have possessed the character of peace-loving, while they rarely owned the environmental caring. In addition, the developed learning tools achieved a good assessment and were d...

Electronic Versus Printed Book: Comparison Study on the Effectivity of Senior High School Physics Book

Jurnal Pendidikan IPA Indonesia, 2018

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of senior high school physics book both interactive electronic and printed, viewed from the difference in gender and material characteristics. The research used Quasi-Experimental Design with Non-Equivalent posttest-pretest control group design. The data were collected through physics tests from six senior high schools in Lampung Province, Indonesia and analyzed on ANOVA and multiple comparisons to determine the differences in learning outcomes (affectivity) and interaction between interactive electronic and printed, gender, and material characteristics. The results showed that there were different learning outcomes caused by interactive electronic and printed physics book (p=0.000<0.05). The learning outcomes using interactive electronic books were better than using printed books for both male and female students while gender differences did not affect physics learning outcomes for both interactive electronic and printed books (p=0.963>0.05). There was no interaction between interactive electronic and printed books and gender (p= 0.298>0.05). There are differences in learning outcomes caused by physical material characteristics (p= 0.000< 0.05). Therefore, it concluded that the high school interactive physics electronic book was effectively used as a learning resource for both male and female students.

Development of Web-Based Physics Learning E-Modules to Improve Science Literacy

Berkala Ilmiah Pendidikan Fisika

This study aimed to develop a web-based physics learning e-module using the content management system WordPress to help improve the science literacy of SMA Negeri 4 Empat Lawang students for the 2022/2023 academic year. The background of the problem in this study is in the form of low science literacy caused by the lack of variations in the use of other learning resources used by teachers during the learning process; teachers only use printed books provided by schools as learning resources, in addition to using methods in learning. Also, they only use the conventional lecture method, which tends to attract students' attention and has been going on for approximately the last three years. This type of research used a research and development method or Research and Development with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), then for the evaluation stage using formative evaluation, according to Tessmer. The population for this study consisted of...

A Preliminary Validation Study of Developing An Interactive Multimedia Modules in Physics Learning

Abstract—Some of skills required in the 21st century are critical thinking, Information Communication Technology (ICT) literacy, and socio cultural interaction. Physics learning should be directed to develop these aspects. This paper describes a preliminary validation study of developing an interactive multimedia module that covering the 21st century skill. The method of this research is Research & Development. The subjects of this developing study were 10th grade student of senior high school in Padang, Indonesia. The data presented are the result of the define, designe, and valiadtion phase of pruduct. Based on questionnaire analysis show that students interested in learning physics using ICT reached 76.7%, but the fact that teacher have not been using teaching material based on ICT, Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is not maximized, the students' critical thinking skills are only 69.3% and the learning outcomes of students yet fully achieve the minimum completeness criteria. Based on the analysis of questionnaires and observation, generally seen that not maximal adherence to the learning process that impact on the learning outcomes of students. One way that can resolve these problems is using interactive multimedia modules in PBL model aided games. The validation of design show that interactive multimedia modules is valid.
