Analysis of Childhood Social Development to Single Parents

The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a significant relationship between: (1) achievement of social development in childhood who have single parents, (2) how is the social behavior of children who have single parents, (3) how childrens social behavior who is cared for by a single mother, (4) how is the social behavior of a child cared for by a single father. This study was an analytic observational study with a cross sectional design. The population of this study was all early childhood education in 3 kindergarten schools in Medan City. The research method used in this study is a qualitative analytical descriptive method. The sampling technique used is Area sampling. Data collection techniques for social development using questionnaires, interviews, documentation and observation. The data analysis technique uses 3 techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the data analysis and the discussion carried out obtained: (1) There is a difference between the social development of children with single parents and complete parents where children with single parents tend to have unstable emotions. They are easier to cry when disturbed by their friends for those who are cared for by a single mother, for those who are cared for by a single father, they tend to be angry, rebellious and hit when they are disturbed by their friends; (2) engagement parenting conducted in independent and not involved to the other; (3) accessibility is a single parent, father always give time to accompany for playing and activities his child everyday.

The Struggle Of Single Parent: Pattern Of Parenting In The Nuclear Family

The family is the first place for children to get an education. Through the parents, the educational process is important values for the development of the child. Children will learn about the values of moral, spiritual, and ethical through parents. These values develop along with growing up of children. Therefore, pattern of parenting becomes important values in delivering identity of the child to adulthood. The above conditions will occur in intact families, but unlike the single parent family. Children who are raised by single parents feared to bring harm to the child's development, or education. Thus, single parent will struggle doing the maximum care, in order to dispel such concerns. Based on that researchers aim to conduct an analysis of parenting within the nuclear family (single parent). The implication of this study is to determine the pattern of education and guidance to children. This study used a qualitative approach with research subjects a single parent that has school-age children. Based on the analysis of research data which obtained the findings that: (1) single parent education related to parent's responsibilities to children, teaching methods applied in family environment, educational tools used and values education, and (2) parental guidance to children tend to religious guidance, social, academic, career and motivation.

Father as a Caregiver: The Thipology of Father Parenting Style While Mother doesn't Exist and the Effect to Child Autonomy

Parenting is one of the obligations of parents in an attempt to build the character of the child. In General, the process of caregiving was conducted simultaneously by both parents. However, it is not the case that occurred in an environment of family Labor Women, where the mother worked as a foreign worker in the foreign country in a particular period of time. During the work, automatically switch childcare responsibilities to the father, who is also still a breadwinner for his family. Independence is defined as a person's ability to regulate itself and not depend on others, is an important character values must be habituated in the child in the family environment. The purpose of this research is to gain an overview of typology of parenting done by the father in the family environment of labor women, and its effects on the independence of the child. In order to reveal the social phenomenon in depth in a field, then used a qualitative approach. Father; their children; as well as the relatives involved in child care in the family environment act as participants. Data collection techniques, through observation, interview, and literature study. Data analysis include data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Triangulation of data sources, which is one component of the credibility test data in qualitative research, also conducted in this study. The results showed, the typology of parenting tend to be used father in educating children character is permissive. Furthermore, this type of parenting a different father would produce a level of independence of children differently.

Methodological Establishment of the Research on the Exploration of Parenting Styles in Families Rearing Children Between 0-7 Years

During the socialization process, educational influences on the child determine their personality development fundamentally, so getting to know the educational practices of parents' is one of the central issues in educational science. The aims of our study, focusing on the parenting styles of parents raising children aged 0-7 living in Hungary, were: (1) to refine a quantitative research tool, (2) combine it with a qualitative tool and (3) to relate the results of two studies carried out with different methodologies. Prior to the questionnaire survey, as part of this research focus group interviews occurred, in which a total of 93 parents attended. The recorded opinions from the focus group interviews provided an opportunity to explore deeper connections. During the questionnaire data collection, a total of 980 parents were included in the study after representative sampling for type of settlement and age group. To explore their parenting style the modified version of the Child-rearing Practices Report (CRPR) was applied. After learning about the scale characteristics of parenting style, our attention was directed to the main characteristics of parenting style and the differentiating factors of parenting practice. Among the parents involved in the research caring, flexible child-rearing attitudes and practices were pronounced.

Single Mother Role in The Success of Their Children (Phenomenological Study of Single Women in Makassar City)

Purpose-The study is aimed to identify the openness, empathy, supportiveness, positiveness, and equality between mother and child as the key factors for successful children. If the parents are not able to give attention and love to their children, it will form feelings of insecurity and hatred towards themselves and to their surroundings. Similarly, if the parents are not able to create discipline in education, the probability of unclear future for their child will increase. A single mother has to endure a lot of problems and face the biggest challenge in their life; to be a single parent who must be able to hold multiple roles, that is as a father who works for a family living and as a mother who nurtures and educate her children. As a mother, she is required to be able to manage everything by herself; some of them include financial management, jobs, and nurture time for her children. Methodologyemployed in this study was in-depth interview to observe inhibiting factors that experienced by single parents in parenting pattern that they apply in nurturing their children. Finding-Result showed that frequency and intensity play important role in creating openness, empathy, supportive attitude, positive attitude, and equality as well as automatically able to form inclusion, control, and affection between mother and children. The expected final result is the discovery of an ideal way of single parent role for their children.

Parenting Patterns of Young Family and Impact on the Behavior of Children

Parenting generally refers to the way parents treat their children in various ways such as in communicating, disciplining, monitoring, encouraging, and educating. Parenting patterns play a very important role in the development, quality of education, and personality of children. It can be seen that parenting by young families has an impact on children's behavior, especially on children's physical, mental-psychological and social development. The purpose of this research analyzes the type of parenting applied to young families to children, the implications for children's behavior if young families apply this parenting pattern. The method used is qualitative to obtain research information, the second stage is a quantitative method (experiment). Democratic parenting (Authoritative Parenting) data found that 88.15% of parents have often stimulated the independence of children. Efforts to stimulate parental independence to children in the form of giving, limits, and flexible control are carried out by parents on children's behavior. Authoritarian Parenting 77.3% of parents immediately scolded their children and only 11.9% of them never scolded them. 32.3% of instructions or orders, 32% are always given to children and 59.2% of parents never give physical punishment to children. of parents are also not interested in the opinions, ideas, and activities of children.

Parenting Styles as a Predictor of the Preschool Children’s Social Behaviours

The aim of this study is to investigate relationship between children's social behaviors and parenting styles. Specifically, the study examines children's aggressive, prosocial and socially inhibited behaviors in association with parenting dimensions namely warmth, inductivereasoning, obedience-demanding and punitive. In addition to this, children's social behaviors and parenting styles are examined in relation to children's gender. The research was conducted on 60-72 month-old 276 children attending preschools in Konya, Turkey. In order to assess parenting styles, the Child Rearing Questionnaire developed by Sanson et al. and adapted by Altan was used. This questionnaire has four subscales, namely inductive reasoning, punishment, obedience demanding behavior and warmth. The questionnaire was completed by mothers. In order to assess child social behaviors, the Teacher Assessment of Social Behavior Scale developed by Cassidy and Asher and adapted by Seven was applied. This scale was completed by the teachers. According to the study results, children's social behavior (aggressive, prosocial and shy/withdrawn) can be predicted significantly by parents inductive reasoning, warmth and punitive styles toward children. In addition to this, boys' aggression scores are found to be significantly higher than girls and girls shyness scores are found to be significantly higher than boys.

Analysis of The Impact of Early Marriage On Children's Parenting Patterns

Early marriage will definitely have an impact on child rearing. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of early marriage on child parenting. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The type of data used in this study is qualitative data, which is divided into primary data and secondary data. Sources of data obtained through library research techniques refer to sources available online and offline, such as scientific journals, books, and news from trusted sources. The results of the study concluded that married couples who married young, did not have a mature and mature thought and were not able to take care of their children properly. They often ignore, scold, yell, even treat them harshly such as pinching and even beating their children when they behave that they do not like or otherwise they spoil their children too much.

Implementation of Parenting Style in Pertiwi Bireuen Kindergarten by Socialization Approach for Working Parents to Understand the Development of Early Children

Parenting programs are informal activity carried out to harmonize childcare and educational children activities in playgroups or at home. Through good parenting, it is hoped that children with good personalities can develop. This approach of socialization aims to analyze the implementation of parenting held in TK Pertiwi Bireuen. Parenting activities that had been held were observed. It includes includes physical care, emotional care and social care. Emotional and language parenting organizes consultation activities with parents to help parents shape behavior and control children's emotions, inviting them to communicate everything they experience, feel and think.
