Psychological resilience is defined as having adaptation skills to negative situations, ability to using coping strategies and recovery skills. Risk and protective factors are related to environmental relations, personality and families. Coping with stress is a strategy and way which is used when a person encounters with difficulties or negativeness. Three strategies of overcoming the stress can be mentioned as: active coping skills, avoidance coping skill, and negative coping skills. The purpose of this study is to analyses the relationship between coping strategies and psychological resilience among students-at-risk. Quantitative methods were used for this research and the study group contains 229 Anatolian High School students. Each phase of human life is multifaceted. Adolescence is a major step in the human life. It is mixture of positive and negative emotions. Resilience is such a power that makes the adolescent to compromise and cope the way from difficulties, problems. It is the mental ability to recover quickly from depression, illness or misfortune. It turns the stress and difficulty into an opportunity. Resilience theory stresses not only on the adversity but on the efforts how one faces it and copes with it. Resilience requires promoting factors as well as resources. The promoting factors help the adolescent to avoid negative effects of risks. All the adolescents have the power of resilience but it is more or less. The study shows that the adolescents who have strong sense of promoting factors and resources can have strong resilience that help them to lead in the life successfully.

Adolescence is one of the periods during which individuals experience developmental difficulty at most. Adolescents are to meet many problems. The adolescents whose level of resilience is high might realize the risks in an environment. Resilience, a construct defined as competence in the face of significant adversity, was examined among adolescents using both self-report and parental data. Participants were 43, 16 to 19 year old high school students currently enrolled in an elective psychology class. Self-efficacy, perceptions of control, response to stress, persistence and coping mechanisms were measured using several questionnaires and structured tasks. The analysis yielded four distinct groups: resilient adolescents, competent adolescents, maladaptive adolescents, and a low adversity/low competence group. The resilient and competent adolescents were similar in terms of self-efficacy and coping mechanisms, and the maladaptive and low competence/low adversity group scored lower on these measures than the resilient and competent groups. Self-efficacy and the ability to articulate coping responses were important personality characteristics that distinguished the resilient group from the maladaptive youths as predicted. Internal control, response to stress, persistence and the ability to select positive coping options did not differ across the four groups, leading to the possibility that these characteristics may serve a less important role in the development of competence in the face of adversity. Further investigation is needed to look at longitudinal correlations between resiliency and the effect of self-efficacy and coping strategies.

The person-situation interaction model suggests that the nature of stressful situations moderates the activation of coping strategies and styles, and that this interaction affects resilience. To support these hypotheses, this study pursued two objectives, to develop and validate the Person-Situation Coping Questionnaire for Adolescents (PSCQA), designed for assessing the "person-situation" interaction when using coping strategies, and to analyse the relationships between coping styles (CS) and resilience (Rs). 1083 Spanish Secondary-Education students filled in the coping questionnaire, and a resilience one. Data fit analysis using confirmatory techniques (CFA & PALV) supported hypotheses concerning the be-factor structural model including the moderator effect of the kinds of stressing situation on the use of coping strategies, and hypotheses concerning the relationship between the two coping styles identifiedemotion-centred and problem-solving centred CSand resilience. Results imply that CS predicts Rs, but also that the differential sensibility to each kind of adverse situation contributes to activate coping strategies in different degrees.
Resilience and Protective Factors in Adolescence

This article focuses on the development of adolescent resilience and protective factors within a sample of 86 inner-city high school students in Chicago. Resilience was considered present when (a) children living in conditions of risk (b) show betterthan-predicted outcomes (c) presumably due to some intervening process. Conditions (a) and (b) were met using quantitative comparisons. Condition (c), the intervening process, was examined using autobiographical essays to begin to understand protective factors youth consider salient in overcoming adversity. Internal attributes such as perseverance, determination, and having the awareness to learn from the risk-attrition process surfaced in the content analyses. Motivational support from family members and teachers was also highly valued for promoting successful adjustment.

Psychological Resilience of Higher Secondary Students In the present study the researcher has employed normative research method. In order to assess level of psychological Resilience of Higher secondary students, psychological Resilience Scale constructed and validated by Wangled and Young (2006) has been used by the researcher for the data collection. Random sampling technique was used in the selection of the sample of 200 higher secondary students of Nagappattinam district, Tamil nadu, India. The finding of the present study on Psychological Resilience of Higher Secondary Students indicates that the higher secondary students have high level of Psychological Resilience. Further, there is significant difference between Male and Female, Arts and Science, Joint family and Nuclear family students with respect to their Psychological Resilience.
