Infant massage has been a long time and common practice, yet investigating this technique in the academic context is still rarely done. Mother in fact plays an important role in ensuring the effectiveness of infant massage, and therefore she is required to learn about it. This research attempts to find out the effects of infant massage training and education on the infant’s physical development for mother in rural areas in Indonesia. This study was designed to compare two groups, namely, the first group of 17 mothers with infant massage education and training intervention since the third trimester, and the second group of 17 mothers without intervention. In the midst of this developing society, people in Indonesia still use traditional health services, especially baby massage to traditional birth attendants. Baby massage to a shaman has become a hereditary tradition. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the behavior of mothers in doing baby massage independently at the Dian Maternity Clinic, West Jakarta. This type of research is an analytical survey. Then analyze the dynamics of the correlation between phenomena or between risk factors and effect factors is a phenomenon that results in an effect (influence). There is no influence between the mother’s education factor on the mother’s behavior in doing baby massage independently at the Dian Maternity Clinic in 2022 with a p value of 0,580. There is no influence between the mother’s knowledge factor with a p value of 0,551. There is an influence between the mother’s attitude factor on the mother’s behavior with a p value of 0,021.

Background: Sage is a form of touch therapy that functions as an important treatment technique that has been known for a long time. In the community, the role of baby massage is still held by traditional birth attendants. Even though baby massage has great benefits for babies, many mothers don't massage their babies independently. The implementation of baby massage is done when their baby is sick or fussy, and as a routine for baby care after birth. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to describe the mother's experience about massaging her baby in Sumberejo Village, Trucuk District, Bojonegoro Regency. Methods: The design in this study uses qualitative research. The selected participants are mothers who have toddlers under the age of 1 year with a total of 10 participants. Participants were taken using purposive sampling technique. Location and Time The research was conducted in the village of Sumberejo, Trucuk District, Bojonegoro Regency. The time of the study was carried out in May-July 2021. The research instrument used in this study was an interview result sheet. Results: Participants in this study amounted to 10 people who were selected based on inclusion criteria. There are 5 themes that have been concluded, namely (1) an overview of baby massage (2) when the baby should be massaged (3) where the mother massages the baby (4) the baby's response after being massaged (5) how often the mother massages her baby. Conclusion: The results showed that more mothers massaged their babies to traditional birth attendants than to professionals and the baby's response after massage was more comfortable and less fussy.

Introduction: Decreased milk production after giving birth can be caused by a lack of stimulation of the hormone prolactin and the hormone oxytocin which are very instrumental in the smooth flow of milk production. One massage that can launch milk production is oxytocin massage. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of oxytocin massage on breast milk production in Mother Postpartum in Kepanjen Village, Pace District, Nganjuk Regency. Methods: This study used a pre-experimental research design with the One Group Pre-Post Test Design approach. The study was conducted on 15-22 July 2019 in Kepanjen Village, Pace District, Nganjuk Regency. The research population and samples is 12 respondents with a total sampling technique. The independent variable is oxytocin massage and the dependent variable is milk production. Data collection using a observastion sheet. Data analysis using McNemar test with α = (0.05).Result: The results of the study of 12 respondents, before being given oxytocin massage, almost all respondents were 10 respondents whose milk production was not smooth (83.3%), while breast milk production after being given oxytocin massage was almost all respondents, namely 11 respondents' milk production smoothly (91.7%). McNemar test results obtained pvalue = 0.004 ≤ α = (0.05), so that Ha is accepted. This shows that there is an influence of oxytocin massage on the production of breast milk for Mother Postpartum in Kepanjen Village, Pace District, Nganjuk Regency. Conclusion: Oxytocin massage is proven as an effort that can be done to expedite milk production, so that oxytocin massage needs to be applied by the midwife / hospital.
The Effect of Massage Therapy in Overcoming Constipation in Infants Aged 7-12 Months

Constipation is a problem that often occurs in children and is a burden worldwide because of its increasing prevalence, the prevalence is estimated at 0.3%-8%. The prevalence of constipation in children up to 1 year of age reaches 2.9% and increases in the second year by about 10.1%. Massage as an alternative medicine is one of the constipation therapies. This study aims to determine the effect of massage therapy on constipation in infants aged 7-12 months at the Arrabih Pratama Clinic Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative with a Quasi Experiment design using a pretest and posttest. The population and sample of this study were babies aged 7-12 months who experienced constipation who visited the Arrabih Pratama Clinic Pekanbaru in July-December 2020, totaling 24 people. The type of data in this study is primary data, with univariate, bivariate data analysis, the hypothesis test used is the independent T test (paired sample test). The results obtained showed that there was an effect of massage therapy in overcoming constipation for infants aged 7-12 months before and after massage therapy, there was a significant difference in constipation for infants aged 7-12 months between the intervention group and the control group. It is hoped that health workers, especially midwives as providers of maternal and child health services, are expected to socialize the provision of massage therapy in dealing with children's complaints before administering pharmacological therapy.

Background: Infancy is a stage of where growth and development occurs very fast, starting from a newborn until the age of 12 months. Developmental delays in Indonesia is about 12.8-16%, while in West Sumatra Province, it ranks 8th and Padang City is in the first place which experiences impaired infant growth, to ptimize the infant growth and development, infant massages can be given. Infant massage is the part oftreatment with touch therapy using certain techniques in infants. The purpose of this study is to determine the massages effect on infant's growth and development. Research Method: This is an experimental study with pre and post control group design conducted in the working area of Padang City in Indonesia Primary Health Center from November 2018-November 2019. The sample of this study was 66 three-month-old infants selected by purposive sampling. Each group consists of 33 infants in the experimental and control groups. Infant's growth assessment is performed by using the Denver II form and infant's development assessment is performed by using baby scales. Data were analyzed by using the Chi-Square test and Mann Whitney test. Research Result: The results showed that infant massage increased growth of p = 0.001, and infant massage increased development of p = 0.001 Research Conclusion: It can be concluded that infant massage influences infant's growth and development in the working area of Seberang Padang Public Health Center in 2019.
