Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus spp.) is a potential fungus that is regularly consumed by general public. This research aims to get qualified spawn of Pleurotus spp. by testing the growth of colony diameter and mycelial biomass on two mediums; PDA and MEYEA, as well as the addition of sawdust. The research was carried out using Pleurotus spp. isolates on different mediums and sawdust mixture. The results indicated that both Pleurotus spp. isolates grew better on MEYEA compared to PDA. Isolates of P. ostreatus TP and P. ostreatus var. columbinus TB both have an average growth speed of 0.90 cm/day and mycelial biomass of 0,19 g. Both Pleurotus spp. isolates grown on MEYEA medium that had previously been mixed with spent oyster mushroom substrate and Jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba) sawdust grew better than the other medium mixed with Sengon (Falcataria moluccana)-both have an average growth speed of 1,06 cm/day and mycelial biomass of 0,26 g; while both isolates on medium mixed with Sengon sawdust have an average growth speed of 0,34 cm/day and mycelial biomass of 0,23 g.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh serbuk gergaji kayu sengon (Albizia falcataria) dan bekatul sebagai media tanam budidaya jamur tiram put (Pleurotus ostreatus) dengan penambahan serbuk sabut kelapa (Cocos nucifera). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dua faktorial yaitu faktor 1: Media tanam (serbuk gergaji 1100 gram dan bekatul 100 gram, serbuk gergaji 1000 gram dan bekatul 200 gram , serbuk gergaji 900 gram dan bekatul 300 gram) faktor II: penambahan serbuk sabut kelapa (tanpa penambahan serbuk sabut kelapa, 50 gram, 100 gram, 150 gram) dengan jumlah perlakuan sebanyak 12 dengan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan M3S3 menunjukkan miselium memenuhi media paling cepat dengan reta 24,67 hari sedangkan yang paling lama terdapat perlakuan M1S0 yaitu dengan rerata 35 hari. Seeing the potential and efficacy of lettuce causes the demand for lettuce to increase. Lettuce cultivation using planting media that can be utilized is oyster mushroom baglog waste. This study aims to determine the effect of applying oyster mushroom baglog waste compost on the growth and yield of lettuce plants, to determine the best dose of oyster mushroom baglog waste compost on the growth and yield of lettuce plants. The design used was a 1-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely A0 (control), A1 (400 g), A2 (500 g) and A3 (600 g). With 5 repetitions, there are 20 experimental units. Parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, leaf width and fresh weight of lettuce. The results showed that the application of oyster mushroom baglog waste compost had an effect on the growth and yield of lettuce. The best dose treatment for the growth and yield of lettuce is A3.

This research is an experimental research that aims to identify differences effect of growing media sawdust and rice straw on mycelium development time, the number of fruiting bodies and wet weight of Pleurotus ostreatus grown in the media (baglog). This research conducted in the Botanical Laboratory, Biology department, UIN Alauddin Makassar. The method in this research is completely randomized design with two types of growing media treatment. Each treatment consists of five repetitions obtained 10 baglog in observation. The data obtained were analyzed using inferential statistics t test, confidence level 0.05 through software SPSS 16.0. The results showed that there was a significant differences between the growth of Pleurotus ostreatus grown on rice straw media and sawdust media.

White oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) can be used as fillers sausages mix because the physical properties of chewy like meat and high fiber content. Spent Mushroom Substrate (SMS) is a composted growing medium that results from the mushroom growing process. The utilization of SMS for biofertilizer or soil conditioner would be an important point in green agriculture. The study revealed the lignocellulolytic activity from 20 isolates of Fungi and 13 isolates of Bacteria which were isolated from sawdust as a spent mushroom substrate of Pleurotus ostreatus. The selected microorganism then would be used as inocullant for the production of biofertilizer using SMS as a main material. The lignocellulolytic system consist of laccase, cellulase and xylanase activity was analyzed. The results shown that among 20 isolates of Fungi, the highest activity of laccase, cellulase, and xylanase was obtained from the isolates 2F1, 2F4 and 2F5. There was (6.153 U, 4.662 U, 3.791U) for laccase, (6.740, 3.711 U, 3.605 U) for cellulase and (6.870 U, 4.673 U, 3.773 U) for xylanase respectively for 2F1, 2F4 and 2F5. Furhtermore, the characterization of the highest lignocellulytic fungi was also conducted. The isolate 2F1 opimally grow in pH 5 at 40oC, isolate 2F4 in pH 9 at 30oC and isolate 2F5 in pH 5 at 30oC. Limbah serbuk batang aren dan bagasse merupakan salah satu permasalahan degradasi lingkungan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Keberadaanya yang sedikit kurang termanfaatkan apalagi di daerah pedesaan membuatnya menjadi semakin kurang berguna dan cenderung diabaikan. Usaha budidaya jamur tiram putih merupakan salah satu usaha yang dapat mendatangkan berbagai peluang yang menjanjikan, salah satunya adalah pembuatan baglog jamur. Baglog jamur umumnya dibuat dari bahan dasar serbuk kayu gergaji dengan perpaduan tepung kanji dan dedak serta bahan lainnya. Masalah akan muncul ketika serbuk gergaji kayu mulai susah didapat sedangkan permintaan baglog jamur terus meningkat seiring besarnya kegiatan budidaya jamur tiram dan meningkatnya jumlah kebutuhan konsumen. Jamur Tiram putih merupakan jenis jamur yang tidak dapat menyediakan makanan sendiri, sehingga membutuhkan nutrisi seperti selulosa, lignin, zat hara seperti N, P, K dan C. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui produktivitas jamur tiram putih (Pleurotus ostreatus) pada media tambahan serabut kelapa (Cocos nucifera). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian satu faktorial rancangan acak lengkap dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan yaitu penambahan serabut kelapa ( 0 %, ( 22 %, ( ) 44 % dan ( 66 %/ baglog.
