Usage Intention of Food Delivery Apps During Covid-19

This study aims to look into the role of food delivery services in increasing user satisfaction and thereby improving business success. During the COVID-19 pandemic, entrepreneurs, such as small entrepreneurs, had enormous obstacles in running their businesses. Consumers are begging for takeout meals to be delivered as social separation becomes the new norm. Large and small enterprises are looking forward to collaborating with these thirdparty delivery providers. Providing deliveries can help eateries cut costs during this time of disruption while also making the transition back to normal working circumstances easier after COVID-19 is no longer a problem. This research was carried out using an online questionnaire provided on the Google Forms platform, which collected information from 100 food delivery consumers in Malaysia and also India. This research reveals that Covid-19 will increase demand for user satisfaction indicators such as perceived service quality, price affordability, ease of access, service awareness, and customer loyalty. Having achieved this, customers will be motivated and continue to use online platforms, leading to increase sales for business owners in the Covid-19 situation.

The emergence of food delivery apps has changed the way the restaurant industry functioned traditionally. The aim of the study was to determine and analyze the factors affecting customers' usage intention towards food delivery apps in Goa with reference to the Covid-19 pandemic. The study encompasses the factors that influence the usage intention of consumers in the state of North Goa. A total of 232 valid questionnaires were collected using convenience sampling and empirically tested. During the study, the leading food delivery service providers in Goa were Swiggy and Zomato. This study seeks insights from The Technology Acceptance Model, The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology Model andThe Health Belief Model which have been extended with several factors to determine and analyze their influence on consumer usage intention. From the results, it was found that the factors that influence Goan customers the most are Trust, Time-Saving Benefits and Price-Saving Benefits whereas Food Safety Risk Perception and Perceived Vulnerability have a trivial influence on the same. Food delivery service apps have attracted an immense volume of customers due to the various benefits offered, like the availability of an array of food choices, doorstep delivery, shorter wait times etc. Therefore, it definitely has been a boon for consumers, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Evolving internet technology has brought about changes in consumer lifestyle and increased online shopping. Grounded in the theory of technology readiness (TR), this study aims to examine the effect of factors such as optimism, innovativeness, insecurity, and discomfort that may motivate consumers’ adoption intentions towards online food delivery ordering (OFDO) services. Additionally, this study intends to investigate the moderating role of situational influences (COVID-19) in affecting such an online behavior. Food businesses benefit from an online food ordering and delivery framework. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence overall consumer satisfaction with online food delivery providers. The demographic information of the respondents was discussed in this study. Online services of food delivery are more critical than ever. Customers are getting comfortable using the apps for services to order the meals they want via their smartphone using the apps. This research is therefore carried out to examine the key factors affecting the intention of customers to use online food delivery services among customers in the Klang Valley during Covid-19 in 2020. The research investigated the most significant factors that influence the customer purchase intention on using Online Food Delivery (OFD) services. There are 4 independent variables which we are focusing on; time, price factor, convenience motivation factor and food illustration. From the research, we have found out that convenience motivation factor is the most important exogenous variable that can influence purchase intention directly, sequentially through shopping motivations. The other factors that have a significant impact on a customer's purchase intentions are price and time factors. The least important factor that influences a customer’s purchase intention is the food illustrations. The study is carried out by gathering responses from over 167 participants. The results will show the factors influencing and the significant effect of using online food delivery services apps to run the businesses efficiently and more effectively in order to attract customer’s purchase intention. The novelty of this study is by giving the strategies and opportunities to the online business entrepreneurs to enhance and boost their sales by using social media as a platform of online food delivery services apps to the community.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of variables that affect the shopping routines of food delivery application users during the Covid-19 pandemic. Food Delivery Application refers to application based deliver services that make the customer easier consume food from the restaurant. Data collection was carried out in the third quarter of 2021 and this research obtained 117 respondents who met the criteria required for this study, using the purposive sampling technique. The data collected were analyzed using the technique of Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. Based on the results of data processing, it shows that Price Advantage, Trust, Interface Issues are significant and have a positive effect on the Shopping Routines of Food Delivery Application users. The implication of these findings is Food Delivery Application providers should improve and or maintain the business policy regarding the price, trust and interface of the application. For instance, by giving more price advantages, increasing the service receiver trust and improving interface of the applications.

Intention to Use Online Food Ordering Services Among Universities Students During COVID-19 Pandemic

The purpose of this paper is to determine the students' behavioural intention to use electronic food ordering in Kuala Terengganu. The quantitative method was applied through an online questionnaire survey distributed to randomly selected respondents in two universities in Kuala Terengganu, and 362 online questionnaires were completed and returned with reliable and meaningful results. The result clearly shows that the majority of the students have a positive intention to use electronic food ordering services due to perceived convenience, customer control, attractive marketing, and eagerness to use technology during Covid-19. Besides, they feel that electronic food ordering is user-friendly, and they can get sufficient information to order. Therefore, this study is vital in providing knowledge and information to the food industry player in identifying all the advantages of having an online ordering system during the pandemic. In line with that, online ordering is the only source of revenue for local food businesses by helping them from permanent closures during this challenging time and take advantage of electronic food ordering as one of their long-term marketing strategies.

Online food delivering system is the process where various restaurants and food outlets deliver their foods and drinks according to the demand of the customer and give the maximum customer satisfaction and quality service. Although, there are various factors that depends on demand and supply and what goes in the customer's mind. What motivates the customers, what benefits they will be having by ordering food online and what are the issues they face while adoption online food and ordering it. This paper will provide information of such factors. It is discussed what are the biggest reasons for same, how people achieve the benefits. How and where people face the issues and how can we solve it. In times of outbreak of Covid-19, technology helped in different ways. One of them was to deliver food to people in those tough times when people were sick, could not go out of their houses and protecting themselves and others as well. Hassle-free online payment made the things easier and still doing the same.
