Abstract

Summary A 78-year-old male retired mathematician with severe aortic stenosis, persistant atrial fibrillation, reluctance to accept oral anticoagulation, and with suspected coro- nary artery disease was referred for further manage- ment. In a single intervention ,t he left atrial append- age was occluded with a plug, double vessel coronary artery disease was treated with drug-eluting stents, and an aortic bioprosthesis was implanted transfem- orally.
