ONLINE EDUCATION DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC -TEACHER AND STUDENT PERSPECTIVE -A STUDY

This paper is an attempt to investigate the Teachers and Students perception on the usage of Online Educational resources during the pandemic situation. Covid-19 virus affected almost all the countries and caused chaos among the people. Social distancing and wearing a mask has become a necessity. Teaching and learning can't be halted, especially for those who are looking for acquiring jobs or getting admission in best universities. In Traditional system, Face to Face interaction between Teachers can understand the expression of a student and analyze student's level of understanding. Covid-19 has entirely changed the existing system and forced teachers and students to switch on to Online Education. Usage of Information Communication Technology (ICT) tools has been there since many years, tools such as Computers, Audio System, Smart Boards, Over Head Projectors, LCD Projectors etc., are in place which helped the teacher to explain a lesson or topic in a effective manner. It is said "Picture Speaks Louder than Words", i.e., manual based teaching methodology has its own limitations, it is difficult to estimate whether student has gained exact knowledge or not, due to this reason, handmade charts were used which played its role to some extent. In the due course of time, we have been viewing advancement in technology and everyone started using various types of electronic devices and are getting connected with the network. Usage of Mobiles, Tablets, Laptops, etc., has become a necessity. Today teachers are utilizing virtual class rooms, taking classes from home. In this paper we try to identify various resources, techniques and methods which can help online learning activity more interactive and effective. We try to analyze the merits and demerits of online teaching and learning.

Explaining the Experience of Iranian Student teachers on the Status of Virtual Education in the Corona Virus Pandemic: A Phenomenological Study

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of Iranian Student teachers on the status of virtual education in the Coronavirus pandemic. Methods: Using phenomenological method, this qualitative study was conducted on 46 student-teachers. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview which was conducted in absentia due to the prevalence of Quid 19. Data collection and analyses were done concurrently. Data were interpreted using theme analysis method with the support of Nvivo10 qualitative data analysis software. Perceptions of participants on Online Learning in the Outbreak of COVID-19: Case Study

Corona pandemic wreaked havoc across the world, perilously hitting the education system. This comparative case study with tertiary students reveals their perceptions of on-line learning during the outbreak of the COVID-19. Tertiary institutes closed their doors, shifting students and staff to the online process without advanced notice or prior training. In-depth individual interviews were conducted via video conferencing, and thematic analysis was done using NVivo-12 software. However, it was explored 87% of Sri Lankan students struggled in the new learning space while it is 34% in New Zealand; Only 10% New Zealand students believed that online learning provided them with the ability to self-reliant learning in their own time and not be restricted by a classroom lesson, which they could miss. However, 5% Sri Lankan students had perception that online learning is benefited for selfreliant learn at the site may be highly adopted tuition culture of the secondary education, but they have struggled to overcome challenges in new learning space. This gap is seen across social norms and cultural values. It was revealed that in both countries, students faced cybersecurity and bullying and gender discrimination issues. It was also revealed that both countries have similar issues in online learning and teaching, such as lack of reliable internet access and technology issues. It is recommended that the teachers should be more competent since our learners are native digital speakers, while teachers are digital immigrants.

Students’ perspective on online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted changing the model of learning activities. Teaching and learning activities that have usually been done face-to-face have now turned into online learning. This study identified student perspectives on online learning activities for Department of Civics Education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Halu Oleo University, Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic. An Analysis of University Students' Perspective on Online Learning in the Midst of Covid-19 Pandemic

In this study we address and investigate university students' perspective on utilizing online learning in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic. This research used qualitative descriptive method. The subject of this research were the learners of Elementary School Teacher Education, Physical Education, Sociology Education and English Education Department of Universitas Megarezky in 2019/2020 academic year. The number of respondents was 40 respondents. The research instruments were questionnaire that was obtained by google form through analyzing participants' response to know their perspective in using online learning and in-depth interview. The study showed that previously, students did not use online learning before the pandemic because learning was conducted in the classroom. In the midst of covid-19 pandemic, the students are interested in using online learning in which can be accessed flexible, anywhere and everywhere. The best application used by lecturers and students was WhatsApp application. It can be concluded that the students' perspective on online learning had a positive impact in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic.

Students’ Perceptions of Online Learning during COVID-19 Pandemic: A Qualitative Approach

In this study, we conducted a thematic analysis of the views and perspectives of university students about online learning, specifically regarding their interpretations and experiences of the transition from traditional face-to-face courses to online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sample included 209 undergraduate and postgraduate students who were invited to complete five tasks, i.e., a free association task, answering open questions about the advantages and disadvantages of online learning, providing suggestions for improving online learning, and sharing a personal experience lived during this period. Online Education in the midst of CoViD-19 Pandemic: Evidences from the Lenses of IT Students

Online education in the midst of the CoViD-19 pandemic is challenged by pivotal issues and concerns especially on the integration of creative innovation and skills for literacy, information, media, and technology across all educational environments and topographies these days. This study explored the students' perceptions on the employment of online learning in the midst of CoViD-19 pandemic in a state university in the countryside of the Philippines. Moreover, this study employed the Qualitative Research Design using Case Study as strategy for inquiry. It found out that the online learning is easy to use, accessible, works online and offlineanywhere and everywhere, and improves performances and ability and interaction relevant to the upskilling of competencies. Likewise, the provision of limited interaction, communication issues, and internet connectivity hold the informants from being effective and efficient online learners. The LMS is not optimized as it mostly functions as a repository of learning materials and the like. It is recommended that the foregoing experiences may be incorporated in retrofitting the online learning facilities in the locale of the study in order to upskill the desired outcomes of this pandemic education.
