Abstract
Fiber-optic sensors based on highly birefringent (HB) polarization-maintaining (PM) fibers represent a promising generation of sensing devices also known as polarimetric fiber sensors. They utilize polarization (phase) modulation within fibers to sense external perturbations [1].
