Background: Education is recognised as a constitutional right, however, access to and participation in higher education can be challenging for some students. This has led to the development of various international and local initiatives promoting inclusion, which has increased student representation from marginalised groups. In order to support growing student diversity, teaching and learning (T&L) strategies must encompass inclusive pedagogical principles. Technological advancements have improved opportunities for online T&L strategies and these are becoming an integral component of curricula in undergraduate nursing programmes.
