Analysis of a stochastic SIRS epidemic model with specific functional response
Applied Mathematical Sciences, 2016
A new stochastic SIRS epidemic model with specific functional response is proposed and analyzed. First, we show that the model is biologically well-posed by proving the global existence, positivity and boundedness of solutions. Moreover, sufficient conditions for the extinction and persistence of the disease are also obtained. In the end, some numerical simulations are presented to illustrate our analytical results.
Dynamical Behavior of a Stochastic SIRS Epidemic Model
Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena, 2015
In this paper we study the Kernack-MacKendrick model under telegraph noise. The telegraph noise switches at random between two SIRS models. We give out conditions for the persistence of the disease and the stability of a disease free equilibrium. We show that the asymptotic behavior highly depends on the value of a threshold λ which is calculated from the intensities of switching between environmental states, the total size of the population as well as the parameters of both SIRS systems. According to the value of λ, the system can globally tend towards an endemic state or a disease free state. The aim of this work is also to describe completely the ω-limit set of all positive solutions to the model. Moreover, the attraction of the ω-limit set and the stationary distribution of solutions will be shown.

In this paper we propose a stochastic SIR epidemic model to evaluate effect of the randomness on treatment and nonlinear incidence rate. More precisely, we perturb both nonlinear incidence and treatment rates in deterministic SIR model with Gaussian white noise and obtain two diffusion stochastic model. For the model, we theoretically prove that it?s solution is positive and global, and then, we obtain the conditions under which we can claim the existence of the stationary distribution. Also, by constructing suitable Lyapunov functions, weestablish sufficient conditions for p-th moment and almost sure exponential stability of disease-free equilibrium. Conditions for disease extinction are obtained, as well. We close the paper by presenting numerical simulations to verify our theoretical results. For that purpose we use real-life data for spread of cholera in the Department of Artibonite in Haiti, as well as for influenza A H1N1 in Guangdong Province, China.
Dynamical behaviors of a stochastic SIRS epidemic model
Journal of Mathematical and Computational Science
In this paper, we study the dynamical behavior of a stochastic SIRS epidemic model with specific nonlinear incidence rate and vaccination. We show the existence and positivity of the solution of the SIRS stochastic differential equation. We defined a number R and we prove the disease free equilibrium is almost sure exponentially stable if R < 1. We studying the behavior around the endemic equilibrium E*. Numerical simulations presented our theoretical results.
Dynamics of a Multigroup SIR Epidemic Model with Nonlinear Incidence and Stochastic Perturbation
Abstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We introduce stochasticity into a multigroup SIR model with nonlinear incidence. We prove that when the intensity of white noise is small, the solution of stochastic system converges weakly to a singular measure (i.e., a distribution) ifℛ0≤1and there exists an invariant distribution which is ergodic ifℛ0>1. This is the same situation as the corresponding deterministic case. When the intensity of white noise is large, white noise controls this system. This means that the disease will extinct exponentially regardless of the magnitude ofℛ0.
We present in this paper a SIRS (Susceptible, Infective, Recovered, Susceptible) epidemic model with a saturated incidence rate and disease causing death in a population of varying size. We define a parameter ℜ * 0 from which a study of stability is made. In the deterministic case, we discuss the existence of an endemic equilibria and prove the global stability of the disease-free equilibrium. By introducing a perturbation in the contact rate through a white noise we consider a stochastic version. We prove the existence of a global positive solution which lives in a certain domain. Thereafter, we prove the global stability n th-moment of the system as soon as the intensity of the white noise is below a certain threshold. Finally, we perform some numerical simulations to compare the dynamic behaviors of deterministic system and stochastic system.
Deterministic and stochastic stability of an SIRS epidemic model with a saturated incidence rate
Random Operators and Stochastic Equations, 2017
In this paper, we formulate an epidemic model for the spread of an infectious disease in a population of varying size. The total population is divided into three distinct epidemiological subclass of individuals (susceptible, infectious and recovered) and we study a deterministic and stochastic models with saturated incidence rate. The stochastic model is obtained by incorporating a random noise into the deterministic model. In the deterministic case, we briefly discuss the global asymptotic stability of the disease free equilibrium by using a Lyapunov function. For the stochastic version, we study the global existence and positivity of the solution. Under suitable conditions on the intensity of the white noise perturbation, we prove that there are a
Dynamics for a stochastic delayed SIRS epidemic model
Nonlinear Analysis: Modelling and Control, 2020
In this paper, we consider a stochastic delayed SIRS epidemic model with seasonal variation. Firstly, we prove that the system is mathematically and biologically well-posed by showing the global existence, positivity and stochastically ultimate boundneness of the solution. Secondly, some sufficient conditions on the permanence and extinction of the positive solutions with probability one are presented. Thirdly, we show that the solution of the system is asymptotical around of the disease-free periodic solution and the intensity of the oscillation depends of the intensity of the noise. Lastly, the existence of stochastic nontrivial periodic solution for the system is obtained.
A Stochastic Differential Equation SIS Epidemic Model
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 2011
In this paper we extend the classical SIS epidemic model from a deterministic framework to a stochastic one, and formulate it as a stochastic differential equation (SDE) for the number of infectious individuals I(t). We then prove that this SDE has a unique global positive solution I(t) and establish conditions for extinction and persistence of I(t). We discuss perturbation by stochastic noise. In the case of persistence we show the existence of a stationary distribution and derive expressions for its mean and variance. The results are illustrated by computer simulations, including two examples based on real life diseases.
Global analysis of a deterministic and stochastic nonlinear SIRS epidemic model
We present in this paper an SIRS epidemic model with saturated incidence rate and disease-inflicted mortality. The Global stability of the endemic equilibrium state is proved by constructing a Lyapunov function. For the stochastic version, the global existence and positivity of the solution is showed, and the global stability in probability and pth moment of the system is proved under suitable conditions on the intensity of the white noise perturbation.
