Online Teaching and Learning at Primary School During COVID-19 Pandemic

This study intends to explore Indonesian primary school teachers' and parents' perceptions of online learning and teaching in the COVID-19 pandemic situations. Particularly, this study intends to identify the significant challenges encountered by the Indonesian teachers and students' parents during the sudden shift of teaching and learning. Semi-structured interviews with a series of open-ended questions were used to collect information. Eleven teachers and students' parents from public high schools in Gorontalo province participated in this study. The results indicate that lack of technological devices and the cost of internet data connections are among the problems faced by teachers and parents. Ultimately, several recommendations were suggested for better action and successful implementation of online learning, particularly in underdeveloped areas in the eastern part of Indonesia.

The Perceptions of Primary School Teachers of Online Learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic Period: A Case Study in Indonesia

This study explores the perceptions of primary school teachers of online learning in a program developed in Indonesia called School from Home during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Data were collected through surveys and semi-structured interviews with 67 class teachers in primary schools. Data analysis used thematic analysis of qualitative data. The analysis results found four main themes, namely, instructional strategies, challenges, support, and motivation of teachers. This research contributes to the literature of online collaborative learning between teachers, parents, and schools that impact student success. Broadly, the success of online learning in Indonesia during the COVID-19 Pandemic was determined by the readiness of technology in line with the national humanist curriculum, support and collaboration from all stakeholders, including government, schools, teachers, parents and the community.

Since March 2020, the case of coronavirus disease or known as Covid-19, has become a global pandemic. Perceptions of Indonesian Students on the Role of Teachers in Offline and Online Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic Period

This study aimed to analyze student perceptions regarding the role of teachers in classroom learning compared to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic by applying a quantitative approach with a survey method. Population in this study was students throughout Indonesia who were actively learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research used Cluster Sampling technique by distributing online forms to students studying at home in all provinces in Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua; while sampling was conducted by random system. Chi square data analysis was carried out to analyze the close relationship between two variables that had nominal data. The Implementation of Online Learning in Elementary Schools During the COVID-19 Pandemic

The purpose of this study was to determine how online learning was implemented in elementary schools during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was conducted in elementary schools in the Muara Enim District, in Sumatra Selatan, Indonesia. This was descriptive research and a qualitative approach was used. Teachers’ readiness in the implementation of online learning during COVID-19 pandemic

This research investigated teachers’ readiness in implementing online learning during COVID-19 pandemic. This was quantitative research with a description analysis approach. The data collection technique used a structured questionnaire. It involved 78 senior high school teachers as respondents spread across nine sub-districts in Labuhanbatu Regency, Indonesia. The results revealed that the implementation of online learning has not been maximized. There are several factors that influence science teachers in running online learning, including the readiness of teachers to use various platforms as online learning media has not varied, the quality of the internet network is poor in some areas, some students do not have a smartphone/computer and have difficulty in buying internet data packages. The results of this study are expected to be used as an evaluation material to improve the online learning system to make it more effective and efficient.

Online Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic: Preservice Teacher’s Perception

This study aims to explore preservice teacher’s perception of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study is a descriptive-exploratory research where respondents are 107 preservice teachers from four study programs that provide preservice teacher’s education, namely Mathematics Education, Biology Education, Physics Education, and Chemistry Education in the Mandalika University of Education–Indonesia. An instrument in the form of a questionnaire was used with a Likert scale and has been validated (expert validation). The research data were analyzed descriptively and statistically using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) test. The study results show that the preservice teacher’s perception of online learning modes during the Covid-19 pandemic is “quite” category, and there is no significant difference in preservice teachers' perceptions of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Teachers' Perception of Online Learning in The Pandemic Era

The Covid-19 pandemic situation has changed many aspects of life, including the learning process. In this regard, researchers are interested in analyzing teachers' perceptions of online learning. This study explains teachers' opinions about online learning and its impact, such as the disadvantages, advantages, and difficulties of online learning during the pandemic. This study uses qualitative research using questionnaires through a google form. The resource persons in this study were English teachers in North Sulawesi, totaling ten teachers. The main target of this research is the teacher's perception because they have experience in online learning in a pandemic situation. From the research data, 90% of teachers choose face-to-face in the learning process because they cannot interact directly with students and experience difficulties in the learning process due to internet access problems. Although online learning has many difficulties and weaknesses, there is no choice but to stop the spread of COVID-19. We must continue to study online. Here teachers and students are equally challenged in creative and active online learning methods and objects. One of the most important is the stability of the internet network, then adequate devices or computers, applications with accessible platforms, and online socialization that carry out efficiently, effectively, sustainably, and integrative to all interested parties in the field of education.

Online Learning Paradigm in Elementary Schools: An Evaluation by Teachers in Indonesia during The COVID-19 Pandemic

This research aims to explain in detail the evaluation of online learning in elementary schools during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This research used a quantitative approach to the type of survey. The survey contains the evaluation of teachers in implementing online learning (pedagogic relations, collaboration teacher-parents, and developers and facilitators of learning access). The results of this research indicated that: 1) the teacher-student pedagogical relationship shows a good thing, although teachers experience limitations and difficulties in doing online learning, the teachers continue to carry out their professional responsibilities well by planning, implementing and evaluating their online learning activities, 2) in the context of teacher-parent collaboration, both of them are committed to collaborating in online learning, even though in practice the teacher is experiencing difficulties in communicating with parents, and 3) access to learning made and developed by ...
