Maximal temperature and maximal acceleration derived from Bekenstein (original) (raw)
Abstract
ABSTRACT: Bekenstein’s upper bound on entropy suggests the existence of a maximal temperature (of the order of the Planck temperature) for any relativistic gas, and of a maximal proper acceleration A* / N^(1 / 2) for any body made up of N particles in thermal equilibrium ( A* = c^2 / L* is the Planck acceleration, L* is the Planck length and c is the speed of light).
