Government Communication Patterns in Tourism Village Development During the Covid-19 Pandemic in Gunung Kidul Regency

This research was conducted to find out how the communication pattern of Beji Tourism Village in promoting its tourism potential through social media in the "SI DEWI SINTAL" program. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, namely the data obtained in this study in the form of oral sentences delivered by the source directly and statement sentences in documents related to this study. There are two data collection techniques in this study, namely by conducting interviews and documentation. Interviews are a communication process to collect and obtain data or information by means of questions and answers between researchers and resource persons. Meanwhile, documentation is used to be supporting data in strengthening data or results as well as the validity of data during research. Then the data analysis technique used in this study has four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the communication pattern that occurs between the managers of the Beji tourism village and social media users or the wider community occurs circularly because there is a reciprocal response between tourism village managers who promote through social media and social media users as message recipients. Therefore, the manager of beji tourism village must make the most of social media as a means of promotion, so that it can influence people's interest in visiting their village, not just a question and answer on the social media account of the tourism village. In conclusion, if social media can be managed properly, tourism promotion can also be done by highlighting the branding or characteristics of a tourist attraction so that people are interested in visiting and can increase the number of tourist visits in the area.

To encourage a community’s role in the field of tourism, the local government of Central Java, Indonesia promotes a Community Based Tourism (CBT) as a tourism development for the sustainable economy. It involves the community in decision-making processes, especially related to the acquisition of income, employment, and the preservation of the environment, and culture of the indigenous people. Tourism based on local wisdom can realize community creativity in introducing regional potential, especially culture, as a unique attraction and can support the development of a creative economy for local communities. Group Communication in Decision Making for the Establishment of Tourist Attractions: Case Study of Sekapuk Village, East Java, Indonesia

This research is entitled "Group Communication in Decision Making for the Establishment of Tourism Objects: A Case Study of Sekapuk Village, East Java, Indonesia". The purpose of this study was to determine the communication carried out by the Pelangi Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) in Sekapuk Village in making decisions about the formation of Selo Tirto Giri tourism objects. The theory used in this study is group communication using the theory of group functional perspective by Hirokawa and Gouran. This study uses a qualitative approach, which uses case studies to explain indepth the group decision making. The findings of this study reveal that there are four functions used by Pokdarwis Pelangi Sekapuk Village, namely analysis of the problem of the existence of former mining excavations in Sekapuk Village, setting common goals between group members and the community, identifying alternatives for new problems, and determining other efforts for the smooth formation of tourist attractions. , finally evaluated the positive and negative characters with regular discussions conducted by Pokdarwis Sekapuk Village. Communication interactions carried out by members of Pokdarwis Pelangi Sekapuk Village were assisted by the Village government, especially the Village Head in making decisions regarding the establishment of Selo Tirto Giri tourism objects.

Community Understanding In The Development of Nglinggo Tourism Village, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region Yogyakarta

This study aims to understand in-depth and comprehensively how the Nglinggo Tourism Village community understands tourism development in its place. This study has used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The data collection techniques used were direct observation of the location of the locus that the researcher wanted to examine, observing events, incidents, poses, and conditions along with a list that needed to be observed in Nglinggo Pager Harjo Tourism Village, as well as conducting interviews with key informants who were involved and experienced all activities relating to the Tourism Village in Nglinggo Pager Harjo. The study concluded that people have begun to understand tourism as an industry that significantly influences improving people's welfare regarding human resources, community potential, and physical development. Community understanding of tourism development can be assessed and understood by the local community. In addition, it can also be concluded that tourism has not negatively influenced the norms, laws, and customs of the local community.

Public Understanding of Tourism Communication in the Coastal Region of Southeast Sulawesi

Known as a coastal area, Southeast Sulawesi saving potential coastal tourism oriented by local community but has not been utilized fully, because people in coastal areas do not have financial capacity and expertise to manage or involved in nature-based tourism activities directly.
