Analisis Efisiensi Terbaik Pada Instalasi Panel Surya Dengan Unit Motor-Pompa DC (original) (raw)

The study aims to describe the best efficiency on the solar panel installation to power DC Motor Pump through varying the pump heads. The study was carried out in the Renewable energy Laboratory of Mechanical Engineering Department of the faculty of Engineering of Hasanuddin University, Makassar. The method used is a solar panel installation tool with a DC motor pump is established. The testing process starts with the recording of solar intensity received by the solar panel using piranometer, then the energy obtained is recorded. In this study, the energy obtained from the solar panel is directly utilised to power the DC motor pump. To search for the best efficiency, the pump head height is varied from 1 to 7 meters and the data were taken and analysed for the most efficient result. The study reveals that the efficiency will increase so long as the global sun radiation intensity (Ig) also increases. The study identifies that the best efficiency occurs in the use of 3 meter head, which is 1,525 %.
