Virtual Learning In A State University In The Philippines: Perspectives From The Education Students (original) (raw)
The study explored the stories and experiences of the students in a state university who are under the virtual learning modality. The study participants are third-year Bachelor of Elementary Education students who have been experiencing the new normal setup under virtual learning. The researchers used purposive sampling to recruit 10 participants. Strategies to address study credibility include verbatim transcription and saturation of data, and then it is coded and analyzed for patterns and themes to identify the essence of participant's experiences. The study revealed that the COVID 19 Pandemic had brought inevitable changes, especially in the field of education, which affected the experiences of college students in a state university, whichplunged into this new educational setup. The study recommends that the government must build a stable and faster internet connection accessible to all students. Doing sohelps save the students' financial expenses and makes virtual learning more engaging, lively, efficient, economical, and more importantly. bridging the gap between students and teachers.
