Abstract
This study aimed at investigating the relationship between total quality management on the performance of Nigerian Public Universities. A data screening and preliminary analysis is conducted with a view in finding out the suitability of the data in conducting a sound data analysis. A total of 609 respondents were chosen from the academic leaders in the 15 public Universities in Northwestern Nigeria. The Study employed disproportionate stratified random sampling technique; the application is carried in order to suit the assumption of multivariate analysis. Based on this, an assessment of missing data, identification of both univariate and multivariate outliers were conducted. Similarly, skewness and kurtosis were checked to ensure the achievement of normality. However, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was also carried out.
