QUEUING THEORY AND IT'S IMPACT ON VARIOUS APPLICATIONS - A REVIEW
Waiting is an intimate dimension of our daily lives. Everyone has experienced waiting in line at the traffic control of daily life of human like telecommunications, reservation counter, super market, big bazaar, Picture Cinema hall ticket window and also to determining the sequence of computer operations, computer performance, health services, airport traffic, and airline ticket sales like any number of other places. Queuing theory is the mathematical study of waiting lines and it is very useful to define Modern information technologies require innovations that are based on modelling, analyzing, designing to deals with. Queuing theory is used widely in engineering and industry for analysis and modelling of processes that involve waiting lines. Applications of queuing theory is increased day by day in the fields of banking sector, healthcare, traffic control, computer Parallel System and Distributed system are also have the base of Queue models. This paper is an attempt to analyze the instances of use of queuing theory in various applications and benefits acquired from the same. Contribution of Queuing Theory to Analyse Various Aspects of Queuing Model
The purpose of this paper is to study the important role of Queuing Theory in reducing Waiting time of customer in Queuing model. The various Queuing models were used to study the different aspects and parameters which interpret the lacuna in Queuing models which helps to improve the system. It will reduced the waiting time of customer and service cost of service facility.

Queuing Theory Contributions and Applications in Health Service

This article aims to analyze contributions and applications of Queuing Theory (QT) in solving health service management problems. A literature bibliometric review was carried out to present a chronological classification of health care systems examined with the aid of queuing models with the purpose of describing the main trends in QT application to assist decision makers in health services. Methodology: A bibliometric review was carried out to investigate the area of health supported by queuing models. Articles describing models of problems were sought and their topics or keywords related to QT and health care or health problems of the population. Results: 314 articles addressing the applications of QT in Health Care Management (HCM) from 2014 and 2020 were analyzed. Conclusion: It was found that QT contributes to improve health services and provides managers with resources to achieve such improvement. It was also evidenced that it is widely applied in emergency services.

Traffic congestions are always frustrating to the road users. Congestions are formed due to different reasons like reduced capacity of road stretch, accidents, overcrowding etc. The traffic congestions results in delays. Delay is a more subtle concept. Delays are defined as the difference between the particular time period on a given segment and a few ideal time period of that segment. These delays will surely end up in queues. Queues occur whenever immediate demand exceeds the capacity to provide a service. Here the need of application of queuing theory arises. Queuing theory was developed to supply models capable of predicting the behaviour of systems that provide service for randomly arising demands. Queuing theory deal with the study of queues (waiting lines). A queuing system is one during which customers arrive for service, await for service if it is not immediately available, and advance to subsequent server once they have been serviced. This paper mainly deals with the different application of queuing theory in transportation sector. Applications mainly include the application of queuing theory in material transportation system, in management of traffic intensity, for the performance analysis of toll plaza, to reduce traffic accidents, at Signalized Intersection etc.
Queues are commonly sighted in almost every organization where services rendered, especially banks. Therefore, queuing theory which is the mathematical study of waiting lines is suitable to be applied in the banking sector since it is associated with queue and waiting line where customers who cannot be served immediately have to wait (queue) for service. The aim of this research project is to determine the average time customers spend on queue and actual time of service delivery in a certain Bank. The primary data were collected from the bank based on the arrival and service patterns of customers. The methodology employed followed the birth and death Markovian process. The result obtained showed that service rate is nine (9) persons per hour, the arrival rate is twelve (12) persons per hour and the probability that the servers are idle is 0.2471. It is therefore recommended based on the analysis that the bank management should increase the number of servers from three (3) to four (4) in order to help reduce the time customers spend on queue.

Institutions such as banks, airlines, hospitals and telecommunication industries employ queuing theory to help in assisting the capacity levels needed to experience demand in a more optimized way for service improvement. In this article, we studied and employed the queuing theory activities of the Federal University Gusau Health Services Clinic. The distributions of patients’ arrival and service times were identified. The system was treated as a single, time-independent arrival with multiple service points. Based on the data obtained on the arrival and service processes, appropriate distributions were fitted and tested using the Chi-squared goodness of fit-test.
