Abstract

Second-year undergraduates of a social work degree were introduced to study about lifelong learning using their own biographies to that end. The autobiographies written by the students from a teacher and researcher’s perspective do not constitute a rich research material but the interpretations of past events have determined about their value. Starting with the premise that life is the one big task which should be solved, the students analyzed the strategies of reflection on life that I had proposed. They detected educational potential of life events. The students used them to illustrate theories of learning through experiment and learning in a local environment. In that they have learnt the idea of lifelong learning and the character of adult education. The operations constitute a part of the proposal of P. Dominicé who has applied a biographical method as a pedagogical method in adult education.
