A Webometric Study of the Websites of Public libraries
The paper attempts to webometrically analyse the websites of seven public libraries administered by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The scope is limited to web link structure analysis. It analyse the domain and page authority, internal links, external links, link equities, established links, and three types of web impact factors namely simple, internal and external. It was found that out of the seven libraries, the website of Central Secretariat library is having the highest simple as well as external web impact factor (115.8) and hence the best web presence among all. The website of RRRLF is the only websites which is having all its internal (55) as well external (4183) links as equity passing links. The website of National Library has the highest number of external and total links (6009) while that of Thanjavur Maharaja Serfoji's Sarasvati Mahal Library consists of highest number of internal (465) links and highest IWIF of 24.25.
Evaluation of National Libraries’ Websites of BRICS Countries: A Webometric Analysis

The present study evaluates the national libraries’ websites of five countries i.e., Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS). It analyzes the domain & page authority, domain extensions, internal equity-passing links, external equity-passing links, internal links, external links, total links, followed linking root domains, total linking root domains, just discovered links, linking C blocks, spam score, types of file format and Web Impact Factor of five national libraries’ websites. The study explored that the domain (67) & page Authority (73) of the National Library of China was the highest, the National Library of Russia has secured the highest internal equity-passing links (79884), total equity-passing links (99661) and Total Links (101000), while, the highest external equity-passing links (22354), total external links (22592) and followed linking root domains (1674) was occupied by National Library of China. It also observed that all the selected national libraries are using 100% HTML, PDF, JPEG, and GIF file formats, followed by PNG, WMA and the lowest was MS-Word, the maximum file formats were used by National Library of Brazil (7). National Library of Russia occupied first place with highest Internal WIF, External WIF and Simple WIF of 1210.36, 326.6 and 1530.3 respectively.
A webometric analysis of National Libraries’ websites in South Asia

The study analyses the number of web pages, link pages and calculates the Web Impact Factor i.e., Simple Web Impact Factor, Internal Link Web Impact Factor and External Link Web Impact Factor of National Libraries in South Asian countries and ranks the websites as per the WIF. The study used Open Site Explorer optimization tool and search engine for links. The result visualized that National Library of India leads with highest Domain Authority (15.27%) and Page Authority (14.48%), the National Library of Sri Lanka (88.65%) got the highest Internal Equity-Passing Links, National Library of India (84.96%) has the highest External Equity-Passing Links and Total Equity-Passing Links with 83.69%. The present study is carried out for analyzing the selected universities library websites ranked by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for the year 2017. The paper investigates domain authority, a number of webpages, links and calculates the Web Impact Factor of 23 universities’ library websites. Though top 25 universities were selected for the study out of which 1 university library website found an error while fetching data and 1 more university was not having library website. The study revealed that the Internal Web Impact Factor and Simple Web Impact Factor of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Rajasthan occupies at the top with 3309.52. Whereas, Jamia Millia Islamia occupies second place with 1250 IWIF and 1250.05 SWIF and the third place was occupied by Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research with 230.26 IWIF and 230.31 SWIF. Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore recorded highest EWIF with 11.67.
Web Content Analysis of National Libraries' Websites in Asia: An Evaluation

The present study is carried out for analyzing the contents of national libraries' websites in Asia. A checklist was designed, and library webpages were evaluated, such as the site description, TLDs, language used, design factor, statement of responsibility, general information, availability of aids and tools, authority details, currency, number of visitors, file format supported, use of web 2.0 tools, webpage size and download speed and ranking of Asian national library websites globally. It is observed that 39 national libraries have dedicated library websites. Further observed that all the national libraries have used graphics in their website, while few have used animations also. Most library websites have provided statements of responsibilities like postal address, email address, and phone numbers, and few have given fax numbers. Only a few have given the currency of their national library websites like date of update, which is an essential part of the website's visibility. The National Library of Japan secured the top position based on global ranks with 8,662, Azerbaijan with 13,507 ranks, and Taiwan with 17,673 ranks.
An Evaluation of Selected Universities’ Library Website of North-East India: A Webometric Analysis

The paper studies the domain and page authority, top followed links to the site, spam score, internal followed links and external followed links, total links, total linking domains and followed linking domains, and the web impact factor (internal, external and simple) of top seven universities of North-East India ranked by National Institutional Ranking Framework selected (NIRF) in 2018.The study explored that overall, the WIF of Mizoram University Library ranked at top with highest Internal WIF of 172.73 and Simple WIF of 172.84, whereas, North-Eastern Hill University Library occupied second place with Internal WIF of 139.45, External WIF of 4.58 and Simple WIF of 144.28 and Nagaland University Library recorded to be on third place with Internal WIF of 77.95 and Simple WIF of 77.95.

The present study examines the websites of different IMT Campuses Library and BITS Pilani Campuses Libraries in India and the United Arab Emirates. There are 4 Campus libraries of IMT and BITS Pilani in different States of India and the United Arab Emirates. All the campus libraries in India and abroad are having their websites. The study analyses the web pages, domain authority, equity-links, internal, external links, and web impact factor totaling to rank it. Out of 8 library websites,6 websites have .ac domain extensions. A search engine optimization tool called link explorer (https:// moz.com/link-explorer) developed by Moz.com is used to help to track the links leading to the website. Based on the overall WIF, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus Library stands at the first position with 1476417.08 SWIF followed by the BITS Pilani Campus Library website which is in the second place with 1307683.71 SWIF.

This article aims to study the websites of Library and Information Science Associations & Societies (LISAS) at both national and international levels applying webometric methods. The in-links and co-links to LISAS' Websites were analyzed, firstly, to study the visibility of these Associations & Societies on the web; secondly, the collaboration among these websites at national and international levels was identified, and finally, Web Impact Factor (WIF) of LISAS' websites was determined using link analysis method.
Webometric analysis of Library Websites of Higher Educational Institutes (HEIs) of India: A study

Library websites plays an important role in dissemination of information of the institution and library resources. It acts as a trustworthy mirror of the institute. To evaluate the library website performance webometric tools and indicators are required. The present study calculated web impact factor (WIF) and R-WIF (Revised WIF) of top ten library websites of HEIs (Higher Educational Institutes) of India and further correlated both the formulas with Spearman's Rank Correlation. It was found that WIF and R-WIF are correlated and associated which depicts that there is very less difference between the two ranking methods. The position of library websites of half HEIs of India is same while evaluating through both the formulas. After a pilot survey, the list of top ten HEIs of India is extracted from ranking web of Universities. Google search engine was chosen for the study.
WEB CONTENT ANALYSIS OF NATIONAL LIBRARY WEBSITES OF SOUTH
Purpose – The study aims to present a comparative analysis of web tools used in Library Websites of national libraries of south Asian region. Design/methodology/approach – Content available in the particular websites were thoroughly scrutinized, analyzed and evaluated based on design, domain, CAS, search criteria, authority, general information, query, and page rank and resource information. 64 item check lists were prepared for collecting data and evaluating those web sites. Findings – The study showed one encouraging fact that all the national libraries of this region have adopted library websites. The major findings of the study revealed that Out of 8 National Library, all (100%) the Libraries has 'About Statement' and 'Mission Statement', 6(75%) Libraries have given 'Membership Information', 'Library Section' and 'Facilities/Services'. 'Working hours' is given in 5(62.5%) Libraries and 'Library Rules' is given in 3(37.5%). 3(37.5%) websites has 'page under construction' page , title of all the websites are appear in the top, 7 (87.5%) websites have dead links and websites are having more than 5 pages, all the websites have home link in every page, no website has 'website index' menu, 4 (50%) websites are offering information in more than one language. 2 (25%) Libraries have Bibliographic database, No Library is providing Book Banks, Back Volume of Journals, Open access journals, Links to e-resources, and Links to e-books. 7 (87.5) websites have Graphics in their site, and download option. 5 (62.5%) websites have animations, site maps and photo gallery. 3 (33.33%) websites have Site map, only 1 (12.5%) website has hit counter, Text only version and site designer. current awareness services where 6 (75%) libraries are providing News alert service. 3 (33.33%) Libraries are providing new arrivals service and Links to SNS. And no library is providing RSS feed in their website. 4 (50%) websites provide user education/help, 3 (37.5%) websites provide feedback and job vacancy option, 2(25%) websites provides FAQs facility , 1 (12.5%) website has Login page.
