Describe the mortality of the flu in 68 municipalities of Boyacá, Colombia, during the period 1912-1927. Descriptive, historical, epidemiological approach. The volume and structure of the population were set. We determined mortality rates for the variables of time, place and person. The mortality of influenza is present before the pandemic, shows a large increase in 1918 and then becomes an endemic disease until 1927. The first death by flu was recorded in Colombia in Cartagena. The pandemic flu arrived in Bogotá from October 1918 and spread to Boyacá. We found differences in the impact of the pandemic in Boyacá compared to what happened in Europe and North America, not recording the same waves. Different age groups affected, mortality varies according to height above sea level, being higher in rural areas.
