The Effectiveness of the Application of Cooperative Learning Type STAD (Student Teams Achievement division) on the Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students. This study aims to obtain data on the effectiveness of the application of STAD type cooperative learning to students' science learning outcomes. The type of this research is experimental research, with quasi experimental design and its design is nonequivalent control. The instrument used is test. Preliminary data was obtained by recording the grade of science report card of V grade 2 semester of academic year 2014/2015 which was used to test group homogeneity and group formation in expriment class. The data of this research is obtained from the difference of pretest and postes of experiment class and control class which then analyzed by using t-independent test, so that obtained tct = 4.20> ttable = 1.67 so that the learning result of IPA from the two classes differ significantly. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in the science learning outcomes between the experimental classes taught by applying STAD type cooperative learning with control classes that do not apply cooperative learning type STAD. The experimental class learning outcomes are higher than the control class, so it can be concluded that cooperative learning type STAD in the experimental class is more effective than the control class that does not apply STAD type cooperative learning.

Effect of Cooperative Learning on Achievement of Students in General Science at Secondary Level

The aim of the study was to explore the effects of cooperative learning on General Science achievement among 9 th class students. Based upon previous research literature it was hypothesized that significant difference existed between the mean posttest scores of General Science achievement of experimental group and control group. The pretest posttest control group design was chosen for the experiment. The study sample consisted of 36 students of 9 th class who were equally distributed among experimental group and control group, matched on the basic of their annual examination at general science scores. The dependent variable of General Science achievement was measured through self-constructed 30-item achievement test used as a pretest as well as a posttest. The experiment group was taught through cooperative learning while control group was taught through traditional teaching. The material was used such as lesson plans, worksheets and quizzes, designed to implement cooperative learning methodology. The data were analyzed through mean, standard deviation and t-test and .05 was the selected level of significance. The main result of the study was that cooperative learning method is superior to traditional method in general science achievement of 9 th grade students.

Effectiveness of Cooperative Learning Technique for the Subject of Science at Elementary Level

The study is experimental in nature based on pre-test post-test control group design, with the intent to check the effectiveness of cooperative learning technique for the subject of science at elementary level. Students of grade 8 of Govt. high school Musa Kalan formed the population; out of the lot 35 students were selected on the basis of procuring more than 60% marks in the pre-test which was teachers' designed. Those who performed the traditional group were the volunteers but with the same marks as that of the experimental group students were selected for exposure to intervention of cooperative learning for a period of one month. On the culmination of a month students were exposed to post-test. The major findings were that those students who were exposed for cooperative learning technique got better results than traditional teaching method. The findings show superiority of cooperative learning technique on traditional teaching method. THE EFFECT OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING METHOD ON THE ACADEMİC SUCCESS OF STUDENTS ON SCIENCE TEACHING LABORATORY LESSON

The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) technique used within the cooperative learning method on the academic achievement of the university students during the laboratory lesson. In this research, experimental research design with pre-test and post-test control groups was used. The research was conducted with a work group of 52 students from the 3 rd grade of Fırat Universtiy, Department of Education, Field of Science and Technology Education in Elazığ, Turkey, during Fall Semester 2014-2015. The study was designed with one study and one control group. Academic Success Test (AST) was used for data collection during the study. The pre-test and post-test scores of experimental and control groups from AST were analyzed by using t-test. According to the results of the AST pre-test and post-test for research groups, significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores of control and experimental group students was observed.

Influence of Implementation STAD Cooperative learning and Science Process Skills Approach toward Students' Activity and Achievement at SMP Karuna Dipa Palu

This research is aimed to describe the influence of STAD cooperative learning combine with biology process skill approach to students' activity and achievement of grade VIII students in SMP Karuna Dipa Palu. The research method was a quasi-experiment method with counterbalanced measures design. The design is used to test two groups with different literation. Then the groups were given cross literation so it has same literation in a different time. First two classes were chosen. The sample used in the research is grade VIII students there is VIII B class with 22 students and VIII C with 16 students. Sampling technical is purposive sampling. Data is collected by observing student sheet to get data of student activity and to get student achievement of biology using multiple choice test. Data is analyzed by t-test. Done student achievement of biology and student activity normality test and student achievement of biology and student activity homogeneities test by SPSS Seri 15 program, in significant degree 0,05. Results of t-test are: (1) Account = 38,43 >Table = 2,021. It means the application of cooperative learning model STAD type with biology process skill approach to student activity has significant influence. (2) Account= 21,404 >Fable= 2,021. It means the application of cooperative learning model TSTAD type with biology process skill approach to student activity has significant influence. The conclusion of the research is the application of cooperative learning model STAD type combine biology process skill has the influence to students activity and achievement of grade VIII student SMP Karuna Dipa Palu.

This study aims to find approaches patterns of science teaching that lead to improved elementary student learning outcomes mastery the concept of the solar system using STAD cooperative model type. The approach used is qualitative and classroom action research that consists of three cycles that includes four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The subject of this study is that one person teacher and 36 students of grade VI Kassi-Kassi SD Negeri Makassar. The focus of research is the application of the model type STAD cooperative and thorough student learning complete. The data were collected using documentation, testing, and observation sheets were analyzed deskkriptif. The results showed activities of teachers and students to increase with increasing total student learning outcomes in science subjects at school.

The Effect of Cooperative Learning on Students' Achievement and Views on the Science and Technology Course

The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficiency of learning plan implementation prepared with the cooperative learning method. In particular, the study addresses the effect of cooperative learning on students' achievement and their views regarding the 'Systems in Our Body' unit of the 6th grade Science and Technology lesson. For this purpose, mixed method was used. The study is conducted in the second term of the 2013-2014 academic year, on a study group consisted of 7 girls and 13 boys, a total of 20 students of a private middle school in Istanbul. An achievement scale was utilized for the quantitative data and focus group interviews were hold for the qualitative data. While t-test was used for the quantitative findings, content analysis technique was used for the qualitative data. The result of the study indicated that CL method had a favorable effect on learning. The cooperation based learning-teaching environment provided cooperation, supported permanent learning, provided opportunities to be successful, contributed to the development of social and personal skills, but also caused worry as it requires students to be successful at all stages.

The Effect of Cooperative Learning on Students Science Process Skill

This study aim to determine the effect of Cooperative Learning model on students science process skills at water cycle topic in grade 5 elementary school 060818 Medan. The research applied experimental method with 2 classes are chosen by using random sampling technique. The class 5A, which consists of 34 students, is taught by using Cooperative Learning Talking Stick Type and the class 5B, which consists of 35 students, is taught by using Cooperative Learning Picture and Picture Type. The research instruments are essay tests which the validity, reliability and the level of difficulty have been tested. The data are analyzed by using two ways Analysis of Variance (Anava). The results showed science process skills of students who are learning using cooperative learning Picture and Picture Type are higher than the students who are learning using cooperative learning Talking Stick Type.
