Prevalence of Anxiety in Pregnancy during COVID 19 pandemic in Shree Birendra Hospital, Chhauni

Aim: To determine the prevalence of anxiety in pregnancy during COVID19 pandemic in Shree Birendra Hospital, Chhauni Method: It is a cross sectional study conducted at Shree Birendra Hospital Chhauni from July to October 2020 following the ethical approval from IRC. All the pregnant women from first to last trimester attending outdoor visit were included; they were asked to fill up Beck Anxiety Index form. The level of anxiety was compared with demographic data like age, race, parity, and period of gestation, education and occupation. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 20 software. Results: A total of 385 presumably uninfected pregnant women were surveyed in 20-40 (28.45±3.95) years age group from 4 to 41 (27.15±9.4) weeks of pregnancy and 55.6% were multipara. Low-grade anxiety was found 99.5% (BAI= 3.06±3.66). Conclusions: Low-grade anxiety was found in almost all pregnant women during covid pandemic and there was no significant difference by demographic variables.

Background: The outbreak of COVID-19 has been the cause of agony for millions of people worldwide. Anxiety of losing near ones and stress of rearing children besides bearing the bulk of domestic tasks have led to certain behavioral changes in the pregnant women. The Covid-19 virus pandemic can cause various manifestations, especially in risk groups, one of which is pregnant women. Pregnancy during a pandemic would be a factor that is anxiety pregnant women which can be impact for babies, like premature, Low Birth Weight, and also depression postpartum. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of anxiety of pregnant women during pandemic Covid-19 at the Jaya Kusuma Husada Clinic Malang, East Java Indonesia. The study was conducted from November to December 2020 and is a descriptive study with total sampling using a questionnaire given to pregnant women. Fifty-three pregnant women filled out forms and the data were analyzed using frequency and proportion tables. The COVID-19 pandemic that has lasted for two years has actually caused anxiety disorders for pregnant women. Pregnant women who are positive for COVID-19 are also at higher risk for pregnancy complications. To find out the description of the level of anxiety and characteristics of pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Talia Pratama Clinic in 2022. The sampling technique is Total Sampling with 50 respondents. Research results based on anxiety almost all experienced severe anxiety (58%), based on high school education (34%), based on farmer occupation (38%), based on age 20-35 years old (98%), based on income Rp. 1.5 million < 2 million (72%), based on multigravida parity (84%). Conclusion: The level of characteristics of pregnant women has a very important distribution in influencing the level of anxiety of pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about mental changes for every human being, including pregnant women worldwide. Anxiety will impact the mother and the growth and development of the fetus she is carrying. This study aimed to identify pregnant women's anxiety levels and the risk factors that can cause anxiety in pregnant women during the covid-19 pandemic. Methods. This study uses a quantitative approach. Settings. The location of this research is Jakarta, with a population of all pregnant women in the area. The sample of this study was pregnant women who made antenatal care visits at the independent midwife practice, with a large sample of 223 people. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling (accidental sampling) Designs. This study used a crosssectional study design. Results. This study's results indicate that most mothers experience mild anxiety, 38.6% of pregnant women who experience severe anxiety 17.5%, pregnant women who experience severe anxiety 9% and those who experience very severe anxiety or panic, 3.6% Conclusions. Many factors cause anxiety in pregnant women during the transition to the COVID-19 pandemic, such as maternal characteristics (age, education, and occupation) and obstetric characteristics (gestational age, gravida, and parity).

Background: COVID-19 has become a global pandemic. It has affected the psychological condition of pregnant women. Aims and Objective: This study aims to assess prevalence of depression and anxiety in pregnancy during COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and Methods: The current study was an observational, cross sectional study conducted in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Manipal Teaching Hospital. Patients were assessed using Nepali version of Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) for anxiety and depression respectively. Result: There were total of 115 patients in this study. The prevalence of anxiety according to BAI was 39.1%. The prevalence of depression according to BDI was 19%. Introduction Pregnancy is a beautiful phase in every woman's life in which she undergoes several physical and psychological transformations. The level of stress and anxiety may increase due to a sudden outbreak of contagious diseases. Objective To evaluate the psychological status of pregnant women during the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. Materials and methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted from July 15, 2020, to September 15, 2020, in Dehradun, Haridwar, and Nainital districts of Uttarakhand, India. A total of 333 pregnant women were surveyed through an online platform. The psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic was measured using the Impact of Event-Revised (IES-R) scale, and anxiety levels were measured using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) scale. Data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results The survey results revealed that around three-fourths (73.6%) of the pregnant women reported minimal psychological impact, with a mean IES-R score of 16.93±11.23, whereas 69.4% of respondents had a minimal level of anxiety, with a mean GAD-7 score of 3.09±3.73. Multivariate linear regression found a positive association between psychological impact and gestational age, occupation, religion, locality, conception, history of abortion (p<0.05). Also, the level of anxiety was significantly associated with education, occupation, monthly income, religion, marital and family support, history of mental illness (p<0.01), conception type, and awareness regarding COVID-19 (p<0.05). Conclusion Psychological impact and anxiety levels were found to be minimal in pregnant women residing in Uttarakhand. Early identification of high-risk women is important to formulate necessary strategic planning to reduce the complications associated with maternal psychological stress on developing fetus.
