This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes at the Environmental Change and Waste Recycling concept after using Problem Based Learning (PBL) combined with Student Team Achievement Division (STAD). The method was classroom action research, which consists of 2 cycles. The results showed the activity of learners group in learning process in first cycle by 39.3% (low). In second cycle, activities learners group in learning process of 67.5% (high). An increase is in aspects of group activities, individual performance, and learning outcomes of students. This is due to the improvement in the learning process that measures the depth and breadth of the expressed prior knowledge, controlling the activity of students in the study group, the allocation of time for all the stages of learning can be accomplished and reward to motivate learners
