Determinants of E-Payment Systems Success

International Journal of E-Adoption, 2012

The success of an information system (IS) depends on the users’ satisfaction with the system. In this study, the Technology Acceptance Model by Davies (1989) was extended. The paper synthesized the technology acceptance model (TAM) to explain and predict the success of e-payment system using users’ satisfaction as dependent variable. The hypothesized model was validated empirically using a sample data collected from of a modified e-payment questionnaire. A total of 74 teaching and non teaching academic staff selected from the Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences, University of Ilorin, Nigeria constituted the sample for the study. The results revealed correlation among perceived benefits, perceive enjoyment, speed; service quality, perceive ease of use and actual use and e-payment success. Moreover, all the seven e-payment predictive factors together made 69% of e-payment system success. Similarly perceived benefits, perceive enjoyment, speed; service quality, perceive e...

Factors Affecting Saudi Consumers' Acceptance Towards the Use of Electronic Payment

2021

The advancement of Electronic Payment (E-P) was aided by the global spread and usage of the internet and cell phones. In Saudi Arabia, there is a scarcity of research that offers a systematic synthesis and study of the factors influencing the utilize and acceptance of electronic payment approaches. E-P popularity has been reached out to a mass in Saudi Arabia which brings more research on its consumers. E-payment (E-P) have been widely accepted to a large number of consumers in Saudi, which brings a great demand of this sector, this research has been done to check over it, pros and cons. In view of the promising growth of e-payment in Saudi Arabia, the aim of the study is to discover the factors affecting e-payment acceptance from the perspective of Saudi consumers. Consumer adoption of e-payment is influenced by factors such as perceived protection, subjective standard, self-efficacy, ease of use, trust, and benefits, according to the literature. The link between the decision of an e-payment and the actual use of an e-payment is then investigated. A self-reporting survey has been created and distributed to 850 people, with 406 eligible statistical answers considered. According to the conclusions, only perceived easy use has a positive effect on perceived utility. According to the SPSS multi-regression study, gains, subjective standard, self-efficiency, and usage simplicity affect the perceptions of e-payment systems by Saudi consumers, whereas confidence and protection are not significantly related with e-payment systems perceptions by consumers. In addition, important coefficients were discovered Engineering Letters

A Model of Factors Influencing Consumer's Intention To Use E-payment System in Indonesia

Procedia Computer Science, 2015

In the recent years, electronic commerce (e-commerce) in Indonesia has growing rapidly. E-commerce became an opportunity for company to increase their selling. Electronic payment (e-payment) was developed to facilitate e-commerce transactions beetwen consumer and seller. In this study, we will investigate consumer's intention to use e-payment. The proposed research model was developed by extending the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) with culture and perceived security into the model, in order to determine the significance factors that influence acceptance of e-payment technology. Through this model, researchers can have a more accurate explanation of the consumer behavior not only in terms of acceptance of the technology, but other factors considered influential on consumers such as culture and perceived security in the origin country. This model will be used to examine consumer's behaviour in Indonesia.
