The current learning process is carried out online with the help of e-learning. This certainly changes the pattern of learning and this pattern requires students to be more independent in the learning process. This study aims to compare the effect of using e-learning on the learning independence of prospective teachers in the exact field of exact sciences with the social and humanities field at Universitas Samawa. An Evaluation on the Effects of Independent Learning on the Academic Performance of Selected Grade 11 students in Saint Mary Magdalene School Academic Year 2020-2021

The main objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of independent learning on the academic performance of selected Grade 11 students of Saint Mary Magdalene School, Academic Year 2020-2021. The research aimed to (1) identify the demographic profile of the respondents; (2) evaluate the extent of the effects of independent learning on the academic performance of the respondents in terms of motivation, strand, and level of focus; and (3) discover the different approaches used by the respondents on independent learning. This study was limited only to selected Grade 11 students of Saint Mary Magdalene School, Academic Year 2020-2021. The respondents were 40 students and the researchers utilized simple random sampling in data gathering. The research design used in this study is a descriptive research and the instrument used is a researcher-made questionnaire. The results showed that there are significant effects between independent learning and the academic performance of the respondents in terms of (a) motivation; (b) environment; and (c) level of focus which is supported by the variables that affect the students in studying under independent learning such as distraction in their environment, lack of independent learning abilities, decrement of motivation to learn, and personal problems that can affect their level of focus. The researchers concluded that utilizing the approaches used by the respondents can help the students and the school in addressing the students’ concerns and difficulties present within their learning environment. The researchers recommended the schools and their administrators formulate ways in eradicating the problems included in this study by using the school’s philosophy, vision, and missions as their basis.

The Influence of Learning Discipline on Students Independent Learning. Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pakuan University, Bogor 2020. This research is a quantitative study with a causal approach. This study aims to determine the effect of learning discipline on the learning independence of fifth grade students at Gunung Gede State Elementary School, North Bogor District, Bogor City. The population of this study was 117 students with a total sample of 54 students. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. This study aims to determine whether or not distance learning affects the independence of students during a pandemic to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia which uses quantitative research. The subjects of this study were upper-class elementary school students in the coastal and mountainous areas of Malang Regency, Indonesia. Data collection using a questionnaire instrument which analysis with descriptive data analysis and regression with IBM SPSS Statistic 20. The result of this study shows that there is a significant effect of distance learning on the learning independence of students in public elementary schools in the coastal and mountainous areas of Malang Regency, Indonesia.

The spread of Covid-19, which has penetrated almost all regions in Indonesia, requires the government to temporarily stop the learning process in schools and replace it with an alternative PJJ at home. Various efforts are made to ensure that learning activities take place properly despite the absence of face-to-face sessions in person. Thus, this study aims to find out the difference in learning independence of MAN learners in Distance Education in urban and rural areas after being controlled by teacher professionalism variables. The approach in this research is a quantitative approach using survey methods. The sample in this study amounted to 392 students who attended school in the urban and rural areas of South Kalimantan Province. Data collection techniques in this study use questionnaires and documentation. The questionnaire instrument is theoretically validated using the Delphi technique while empirically using a static test of factor analysis. As for testing the hypothesis, the requirements test is carried out as follows: (1) normality test; (2) homogeneity test; and (3) linearity test, which is then followed by a covariance analysis test (ANAKOVA). This research aims to describe the perceptions of independence online learning during Covid-19 Pandemic. This research was conducted at Junior High School 5 Tulungagung. Data collection techniques in this research were observation and questionnaire. The main instrument is researcher itself, the supporting instrument are observation notes and questionnaire sheets. The data validity uses in this research is extension of observation. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of Independence on Learning Outcomes in online learning during the Covid 19 pandemic. This research applies explanatory survey method. The object of this research is the State Islamic Institute (IAIN Kerinci). The sample in this study was all 6th semester Islamic Education Management Students, totaling 65 people. The results of the study showed that there was a correlation between independent learning and learning outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic with a moderate correlation. As for the level analysis for the variable of learning independence during the Covid 19 pandemic with the dimension of self-confidence being at a moderate level, the dimension of self-learning being at a moderate level, the dimension of mastering expertise in the field is at a moderate level, the dimension of respecting time is at a high level, and the dimension of respecting time is at a high level. responsibility is at the moderate level.
