Dengue fever still become a health problem in Indonesia with high numbers of mortality, especially the worst IV th , characterized by fever, myalgia, arthralgia accompanied by leucopenia, rash, lymphadenopathy, thrombocytopenia, and bleeding. The existence of the exact value of the result of platelet and hematocrit levels for each degree of DHF is expected to greatly assist medical personnel to more easily classify and manage patient based on the degree of DHF. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship of platelet and hematocrit levels with the degree of DHF in adult patiens. This research was quantitative analytic with a cross sectional design. Data sources were secondary data from medical records at RS Al Islam Bandung with the sample 129 adult patient with DHF. Data that taken from medical records were age, sex, platelet levels, hematocrit, and degree of dengue infection according to WHO 2009 criteria. The statistical analysis was chi square used SPSS. The result was the proportion of 55.8% platelet levels (≤ 100.000/mm³), 35.7% (100.000-150.000/mm³) and 8.5% (≥ 150.000/mm³), the proportion of high hematocrit levels of 3.9%, 83.7% normal and 12, 4% low. This study shows the statistic results using chi square test of association with contingency coefficient obtained no significant correlation between platelet level and the degree of DHF in adult patients (p= 0.342). There was a strong relationship between hematocrit levels and degree of dengue disease in adult patients (p= 0.000, C = 0.541). Conclusion in this study there was a strong correlation between hematocrit levels and the degree of DHF in adult patient and there was no significant correlation between platelet levels with degree of DHF in adult patient.
