Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk that given to babies from birth for six months without and / or replace with other food or drinks. Exclusive breast-feeding is recommended for at least six months in order to suppress the mortality and morbidity rates of children. Among the factors that influenced exclusive breast-feeding were maternal knowledge, maternal attitude, and the support of health-care workers. According to data in Malang city of 2018, Cisadea Public Health Centre had the lowest rate of exclusive breast-feeding. Hence, the study was conducted to know the relationship between maternal knowledge, maternal attitude, and the support of health care workers to exclusive breast-feeding. Research was conducted by correlational analytic methods and used cross sectional approach with purposive sampling technique. The mother of six to twelve months-old children through July 2020 and recorded in Cisadea Public Health Centre were the subject of this study. After taking the data by disseminating the questionnaire using a Google form on 30 samples, a bivariate analysis was conducted with the Chi square test. The results showed that there was a correlation between maternal knowledge and exclusive breast-feeding (p equal 0.046) and between maternal attitude and exclusive breast-feeding (p equal 0.041). While a bivariate analysis between health care workers' support and exclusive breast feeding was obtained p equal 1,000 so that there was no meaningful relationship was found.

In order to reduce infant morbidity and mortality, according to the United Nations Childrens Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO), it is recommended that infants be fed only breast milk for six months, known as exclusive breastfeeding. Exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia has not been fully successful. Based on the 2016 Indonesian Health Profile, the percentage coverage of exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0-6 months was only 54.0%. In North Sumatra Province, exclusive breastfeeding is considered to be lacking. Factors that are thought to influence include maternal age, education level, knowledge level and occupation. So, an observational analytic study was conducted which aimed to see the relationship between the level of maternal knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between maternal knowledge level and maternal education level with exclusive breastfeeding for infants.

Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak yang optimal dapat dicapai salah satunya dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayi baru lahir sampai usia enam bulan. Pengetahuan orang tua dan dukungan keluarga berperan penting dalam keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan ibu dan dukungan keluarga terhadap pemberian ASI Ekslusif di Desa Pangkalan Kecamatan Pucuk Rantau Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan September 2020 sampai dengan Februari 2021. Praktek di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak ibu yang tidak memberikan ASI eksklusif. Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) merupakan daerah yang berhasil memberikan ASI eksklusif. Wilayah Gangga memiliki cakupan terendah di NTB yaitu 30,4%. Penelitian ini mencoba menggali secara bersamaan prediktor munculnya masalah yang ada di wilayah Gangga yaitu berupa pengetahuan ibu, dukungan sosial baik dari suami, keluarga dan teman serta dukungan dari tenaga kesehatan. Desain penelitian observasional analitik cross-sectional digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan memberikan kuesioner pada 165 responden yang memiliki bayi usia lebih dari 6-12 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hanya 38,2% responden memutuskan memberikan ASI eksklusif di Gangga. Hasil uji regresi logistik bineri pada model terbaik menunjukkan variabel yang paling kuat berpengaruh berturut-turut adalah dukungan sosial suami (p=0,001), dukungan tenaga kesehatan (p=0,016), dukungan sosial keluarga (p=0,020) dan dukungan sosial teman (p=0,049). Sedangkan pengetahuan ibu (p=0,171) memiliki pengaruh yang tidak signifikan. Tingginya pengetahuan, besarnya dukungan sosial suami, keluarga, dan teman serta dukungan tenaga kesehatan secara simultan memiliki pengaruh terhadap keputusan ibu dalam memberikan ASI eksklusif.

Hubungan Program Kelompok Pendukung Ibu Terhadap Pengetahuan Dan Praktik Pemberian Asi Eksklusif

Praktek pemberian ASI di Indonesia masih buruk, masyarakat masih sering beranggapan bahwa menyusui hanya urusan ibu dan bayinya. Kelompok Pendukung (KP) Ibu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang ASI Eksklusif dan praktek pemberian ASI Eksklusif, serta memungkinkan petugas kesehatan untuk melakukan pendampingan teknis yang akhirnya akan meningkatkan cakupan ASI Eksklusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas program Kelompok Pendukung (KP) Ibu terhadap perilaku pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan rancangan Kohort yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli s.d. Desember 2011 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kasihan II Kabupaten Bantul. Sampel ditentukan dengan cara purposive sampling, dengan ketentuan bayi usia 3-4 bulan, masih memberikan ASI saja, tinggal di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kasihan II dan bersedia mengikuti penelitian. Kriteria eksklusinya adalah ibu dengan penyakit kronis yang mengganggu pemberian ASI eksklusif dan menyusui lebih dari 1 bayi (bayi kembar). Jumlah tiap-tiap kelompok subyek (KP-Ibu dan Non KP-Ibu) adalah 35 orang, dengan melakukan matching untuk umur. Penempatan kedalam kelompok KP dan Non KP dilakukan secara acak. Data dianalisis dengan t test dan chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang nyata perlakuan KP Ibu terhadap pengetahuan tentang ASI untuk responden yang berpendidikan rendah, tidak bekerja (sebagai ibu rumah tangga), dan yang mendapatkan Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD). Sebaliknya untuk responden yang berpendidikan tinggi, bekerja, dan tidak mendapat Inisiasi menyusu dini, hubungan ini tidak nyata. Kesimpulannya, kelompok pendukung ibu untuk mensukseskan pemberian ASI eksklusif (praktek menyusu) sangat bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang ASI pada responden yang berpendidikan rendah, tidak bekerja (sebagai ibu rumah tangga saja), dan yang mendapatkan Inisiasi Menyusu Dini. The Mother Supporting Group (SG) Programme designed to increase the knowledge and practices about Exclusive Breastfeeding and to improve the techical supports from the health provider to lacatating women. The impact of SG programme was increasing the coverage of Exclusive Breasfeeding Mothers. The Objectives of this research to measure effectivity of SG programme to the Exclusive Breastfeeding behavior. This research was observational as cohort design from July until December 2012, in Kasihan Sub District area of Bantul District. The samples were taken purposively among 2-3 months babies and still breasfed, living in study areas and signed informed concents as subject criterias. The excluded criterias were the mothers had the cronic deseases which may disturb the breasfeeding activity or she breastfed for two babies in a time of study. Number of samples were 35 for each group (SG and non SG). Data analized by t-test and chisquare.The results showed that the low education respondens had 2,5 points increasing level of breastfeeding knowledge score in the SG, higher than the non SG (1,7 points).The unemployer respondens had the 0,8 points increasing in breastfeeding knowledge score in the SG, better than non SG in which it was decreasing 2,5 points decreasing. The SG had 62,86% predominant breast feeding babies, it means, the babies had given the drinking water before 6 months of age. In conclusions, they were found a significant different between the existing SG compared to non SG in breasfeeding knowledge for those who had lower education, unemployer (housewives only), and those implement early intiation of breastfeeding. In conclusion, the different between the existing of SG in the breastfeeding knowledge was significant to those with low education background, unemployer, and those who did early Initiation of breastfeeding.

The Government's efforts to support the increase in exclusive breastfeeding have resulted in agreements or various recognitions, both globally and nationally, which aim to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding. ASI eksklusif adalah pemberian ASI tanpa makanan dan minuman pendamping (termasuk air jeruk, madu, air gula), yang dimulai sejak bayi baru lahir sampai dengan usia 6 bulan. Terjadinya kerawanan gizi pada bayi disebabkan karena selain makanan yang kurang juga karena Air Susu Ibu (ASI) banyak diganti dengan susu botol dengan cara dan jumlah yang tidak memenuhi kebutuhan.
