Investigation of ageing effect on size properties of colloidal nanoparticles prepared by laser ablation in liquid medium

In this paper laser ablation of aluminum target in distilled water was used to produce aluminum oxide (alumina) nanoparticles. Nanosecond pulsed laser beam (τ~10ns and λ=1.06μm) with fixed fluence of 46 J/cm2 was used to generate the nanoparticles in this experiment. The effect of ageing of nanoparticles in particle size characteristics was investigated. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) together with image processing technique was used to evaluate the results. The experimental results showed that size distribution of the nanoparticles can be influenced by ageing due to Ostwald ripening process.

قابلیت ها و کاربرد های نانوسلولز به عنوان نانوماده دوستدار محیط زیست و نشات گرفته از طبیعت

نانوسلولز شامل سلولز نانوکریستالیته شده و نانوالیاف سلولز به عنوان نانوبیومواد طبیعی ارزشمند که به ترتیب دارای نسبت طول به قطر کم و زیاد بوده و به روش مکانیکی به همراه پیش تیمارهای مختلف از الیاف گیاهان چوبی و غیرچوبی حاصل می شوند. پیش تیمارهای آنزیمی، شیمیایی و اکسیدی مختلفی برای کاهش مصرف انرژی و مقدار فیبریله شدن بیشترنانوالیاف پیشنهاد شده است. نانوالیاف سلولز به عنوان ماده اولیه قابل تبدیل به کاغذ، فیلم، هیدروژل، فوم و آئروژل شناخته شده است هرچند که بسیاری از این ویژگی ها برگرفته از طبیعت ذاتی این ماده شامل سبکی، مقاومت بسیار زیاد، ساختار بسیار فشرده، پایداری حرارتی مناسب، خواص ممانعتی بسیار عالی در برابر گاز ها می باشد. در این میان نانوالیاف سلولزی به دلیل دارا بودن نسبت طول به قطر و مقاومت بسیار زیاد در مقایسه با نانوویسکر سلولز دارای آینده نویدبخشی است.

Manufacturing and studying of organic light emitting diode based on Alq3 nanostructure

In this paper nanostructure Alq 3 were used as emitting layer with spin coating deposition method in OLED devises. Light emitting and photo luminescent properties of samples were studied. Results showed emitting diode were produced with maximum intensity of absorption and emission wavelength were shifted to blue region (shorter wavelengths) in comparison to common Alq 3 with significant optical properties that this change in maximum emitted wavelength is produced because of side groups where attached to Alq 3 structure. So in this structure layer deposition method and color tuning is changed in comparison to common Alq 3 .

Effect of Vaspin on Fatty acids metabolism in steatosis model: comparison between two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) cultures

Background and Aim: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, characterized by abnormal fat accumulation in the liver, is associated with obesity and insulin resistance. Vaspin is an adipokine secreted by adipose tissue, and its gene expression increases when insulin sensitivity is reduced. In this study, we made a comparison between 3D and 2D cultures in regard to the effects of vaspin on fatty acid metabolism. Materials and Methods: The steatosis model was induced by oleic and palmitic acid in HepG2 cell line in two-and three-dimensional cultures (collagen gel). Then, the cells were treated with 100 ng/ml vaspin for 24 hours. We used Real time PCR for measurement of the expressions of FABP4, MCAD, FAS and ApoB100 genes. Results: In two-and three-dimensional cultures, we found significant decrease in the expression of FABP4 and FAS genes. There was no significant difference between the expression of these genes in the two-and three-dimensional cultures. We detected significant increase in the expression of MCAD and ApoB100 genes in 2D and 3D cultures. We did not find any significant difference in the expressions of MCAD and ApoB100 genes between two-and three-dimensional cultures. Conclusion: Alteration of the expressions of the genes involved in uptake, lipogenesis, oxidation and secretion of fatty acids occurred in the group treated with vaspin compared to the control group in the 2-D and 3-D cultures. But, we did not find any significant difference in the expressions of these genes between the 2-D and 3-D cultures.

Evaluation of antibacterial effects of silver nanoparticles with thiazole, imidazole and tetrahydropyridine derivatives against hospital gram negative bacterial pathogens

IJMM 2016; 10(4): 34-42 Background and Aim: Silver nanoparticles, thiazole, imidazole and tetrahydropyridine derivatives are all new antibacterial compounds that detection and comparison of their antibacterial effects can help to the selection of alternative antibiotics’ combinations against resistant bacterial strains especially gramnegative pathogenic bacteria in hospitals. In this regard, the aim of this study was comparison of antibacterial effects of silver nanoparticles, thiazole, imidazole and tetrahydropyridine derivatives on three gram -negative bacteria including Proteus mirabilis, Acinetobacter baumannii and Shigella dysenteriae.

Analysis of thiosemi carbazon complexes effects on UCA1 lncRNA and AKT target, gene expression alternations, regulating PI3K/ AKT signaling pathway in Jurkat E6.1 Acute Lympholastic Leukemia cell line

Background and Aim:Leukemia usually begins in the bone marrow and leads to the production of a large number of abnormal white blood cells.The goal of this study was to investigate changes on UCA1 lncRNA and AKT target, gene expression alternations, regulating PI3K/ AKT signaling pathway in Jurkat E6.1 Acute Lympholastic Leukemia cell line under treatment with thiosemicarbazone complexes(nickel). Materials and Methods: First, thiosemicarbazones complex Ni and 6MP was provided in different concentrations(0.5,1,2,5macromolecular)and(1,5,10,25macromolecular) and the jurkat E.6.1 Cancer cells were treated with mentioned doses at (24-48-72hours)after cell passage.
