It is aimed to portray the relationship between the teaching style (expert/authority, individual model/expert/authority, facilitator/individual model/expert and representative) preferences of elementary school teachers and their demographic features. Relational survey model was used in the research. A "Teaching Style Scale" created by Grasha (1996), adopted to Turkish by Üredi (2006), was applied in order to determine the teaching style preferences of the elementary school teachers. Additionally, a "Teacher Demographic Info Form" was used to identify the demographic features of the teachers, as well. The assesment instrument and demographic info form were applied on 1306 elementary school teachers who work in 49 different middle socio-eceonomic level elementary schools at Kadıköy, Üsküdar and Ümraniye districts in İstanbul. Research results showed that, while there is no significant relationship between teachers' gender, age, seniority, school type they work in, the school they graduated from and their teaching styles; a significant relationship at p.01 level between their branches and the teaching style they prefered was obtained.
