История, география и природа России в исследованиях И.Р. и Г. Форстеров // Архив истории науки и техники. VII (XVI). М.: «Янус-К», 2023. С. 133-145.

The article analyses scientific activities of J.R. and G. Forster, related to the studies of Russian history, geography and nature. Their work in this area began with the 1765 Lower Volga Region expedition. In appreciation of his contributions to the studies of Russian antiquities and drawing a detailed and reliable map of the Lower Volga Region, J.R. Forster was elected to the Royal Society of London. G. Forster’s first scientific work that brought him glory was the translation into English of M.V. Lomonosov’s ‘Short Chronicle of Russia.’ Afterwards, both Johann Reinhold Forster and Georg Forster maintained their scientific contacts with the Imperial Academy of Sciences and continued to study issues related to Russia over their lifetime. J.R. Forster was an expert in the history of Russia, recognised by the European scientific community. He is the author of several original works on the history of Russia, published in the German language, which remain practically unknown to the Russian audience.
