Abstract
Many methods of interpolation for the spatial impulse response have been proposed to improve the measurement efficiency. In this paper, we propose a method of extrapolating the room transfer functions including higher-order reflections using a small number of microphones. The direct sound and reflected sounds are represented by the sparse equivalent source method and the image source method. Experiments using a finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation show that the proposed method has smaller errors than linear interpolation at low frequencies.
